Girl in the Blue Hat - Part 1 - Eyes (Patreon)

Here is the first part of the little girl in the blue hat - I really hope you enjoy this as much as I did :)

It's on 25x35cm pastelmat board although you can use all the techniques on hot press paper if you prefer. The size of the drawing from edge to edge is 26cm.

I haven't used any solvents or water just pure pencils, but I have used a small dry brush and cotton buds - they were fabulous for her skin.

I'm so looking forward to seeing what you all do :) 

Edited to add alternative colours: Dark Flesh is similar to the Mars Black in the Lightfast range, or you could use caput mortuum violet - but it's not quite dark enough - you could add black over the top though. Dark Flesh 5% is a unique colour and worth getting hold of as it's amazing for skin, blonde fur and golden fur. I would say a mixture of polychromos cinnamon, pablo brownish beige or looking at the Prisma colour chart Beige Sienna looks quite close. Light Flesh 10% is a yellow colour - I'd stick with primrose and brown ochre 10% with some polychromos ivory. Middle verdigris - I'd choose Pablo Jade Green or luminance cobalt green with some polychromos cold grey 1 mixed in. Hope this helps :)
