First of four videos that total around 8 hours, so it's going to keep you busy!! Apologies at the beginning if my hand is in the way - I did move the camera angle pretty early on so don't worry too much. It's so hard getting the right angle for close up shots. Reference photo, line art and the full materials list now attached. I would strongly suggest you create your own line drawing. Copyright information. This photo has permission for us to use as a tutorial piece. Please credit the photographer Murtagh Photography, and limit sharing to closed groups and your own social media. You won't be able to sell this piece or create prints from it. My aim is to more often that not give you photos of my own where you have full usage rights, but occasionally I will use other's photos.

Drawing Leather with Coloured Pencils - real time step by step tutorial

I'm releasing the first part of a tutorial I created last year, this video gives you just over two hours of real time, voice over drawing as I start to work on part of a bridle. I'm using white Clairefontaine Pastelmat Board and Faber Castell Polychromos. I talk you through which pencils I use, why I use them and how to use different pressure to create realistic looking leather. I take you through from start to finish two bits of the leather, the noseband part is available on my Patreon on the $5 tier where I show you how to use the embossing technique to create patterns in the leather. I hope you enjoy it, would love to hear what you think. Leather is something I really love to draw, especially in detail :) If you'd like to see more of my real time videos, consider joining my Patreon channel https://patreon.com/bonnysnowdonfineart You can see more of my work on social media: https://instagram.com/bonny_snowdon_fineart https://facebook.com/bonnysnowdonpotraits
