I’m planning on writing some punishment events with Cynthia, wherein you have to resist the urge to cum from the punishment, or are forced to cum repeatedly while overstimulated as further punishment. It’s similar to the edging trial in the second dungeon, if you recall that scene, but just giving you the option to succeed or fail as a choice is kind of underwhelming, so I thought I could make it a quick time event instead. If you are unfamiliar, this basically accounts to pressing keys in a certain pattern within a time limit, like up Z down left, or something like that.

I figured I’d ask before adding something like that in though, because QTE’s have been somewhat used to death in games, so I know some people have grown to despise them, lol. If I did put them in though, they would be pretty sparingly used throughout the game, so you don’t have to worry about Crossdressing in Camelot turning into a button masher, or anything like that. And since you may or may not have two hands on the keyboard when they arrive, the game will probably warn you that they are coming. I think they could be an interesting way to make the player resist temptations, as I could make them harder based on the players level of depravity, giving depravity more meaning in-game.

Please just don't make the qte to hard I'm not talented sadly.

If you have a low level of depravity, the QTE's will probably be set to be very easy. But even if you have a high level of depravity, the QTE's will just lead to two different paths in events, so it's not like you get a game over if you fail. I also might set it up so if you lose the QTE the first time, you can repeat it and just pick to succeed.

It depends. RPGM is notoriously finicky with QTE, if you can do it well, I don't mind. More often than not though, you're going to wind up with "input these commands" but then people have different settings and there is going to be more than a few people who are going to have like less than 2 seconds to input the commands and it becomes outrageously frustrating. I'll vote "I like" but with this caveat in mind

Yeah, I found a plugin for it, but I haven't actually tested it out yet, figured I'd see if there was any interest first. If it's really clunky I probably won't go forward with it.

I'm slightly more in favour of QTEs than against, but I'm sure there are some people that absolutely despise them. Maybe add a third poll option, "OH GOD NO PLEASE NO OH GOD"

CrossdressinginCamelot

I suspect anyone that against them would probably just make a comment, and I do think hatred from QTEs comes from poor usage of them, mostly from jamming games obnoxiously full of them. That or by making them so difficult someone can be literally unable to progress through the game, like when you had to punch the shit out of a boulder in resident evil 5, if you ever got to experience that lol.

If you intend on adding QTEs, I highly recommend that you make them optional if at all possible. Rather than giving a warning for QTEs, maybe you could offer the option in that scene to use the QTE?
