I’ve stumbled upon a decent library of free sex sound effects, so I was thinking about adding that to some of the scenes to see if that would add to the experience. This will be things like noises to imitate Beatrice fingering you, or noises for when the player is giving a blowjob to a character, ect. Non-verbal noises are the main idea. I might stay away from moans and panting, as that kind of puts a voice to the characters, which I think is probably best left to the imagination. Maybe if I find something that really fits a character, I’d try that out. I’ve attached a very quick sample of a fingering noise, to give a better idea of what I mean. This was a very quick thing I threw together, it would be more detailed if actually added to the game.

Honestly, it depends. I think sexy sounds and such can be a good mood maker/addition, but if its looped, or overly used, its a bit difficult. With the fact your game started as mostly text driven and story based, its going to be really hard to match the proper sounds effectively within the scene and pacing. Also having sounds that just loop and loop get kind of obnoxious. So...its more like, how confident are you in being able to match and synch it properly with the story? As an aural person, it would mean a lot and help me personally if done right, otherwise it can turn into something that would make me want to mute the game entirely.

That’s what I’ll be testing out, I suppose. For the first update including sfx, I’ll keep it to a few scenes, just to test the waters. Then I can get feedback on if the sounds fit well, and if they become monotonous or not. The sounds will probably loop, but I’ll try to make the loop long enough to not really feel like a loop, if that makes sense. The little sample file I added is very short, and so it would definitely get old too quickly, so any actual sounds added would need to be longer and more varying to make them more exciting.
