The next update is coming along nicely, should be finished in a few days hopefully. I’m more confident in my prediction this time, since I spread the work out a bit better. Instead of doing all the writing and leaving checking and implementing things until the very end, I started finishing some of the content halfway through the month. The main benefit is that it helps me figure out when to stop writing more because I won’t be able to finish it all in time. The update is a bit north of 22 000 words right now, which I think is very good for a month-ish update. The start of the third dungeon is being added, alongside a new guild scene between you and Katie, a new Slime scene in the first dungeon, and a new Orc scene in the first dungeon. I hadn’t planned to come back to the first dungeon, but I was suddenly in the mood to write some scenes that fit well with those characters.

At the start of the third dungeon, the player is forced to choose one of two outfits to wear. Of course, all the male outfits are in use, so the player is left with the choice of a tomboy-ish outfit, and an extremely slutty one. The outfits aren’t just so the player can play dress-up though, they are enchanted to alter the personality of the person wearing them, to somewhat match the kind of person you would expect to wear clothes like that. Some of the enemies have different scenes based on which outfit you choose, and wearing the tomboy outfit gives you the ability to have sex with some of the enemies you defeat. There are three enemies so far, and about nine new scenes for the third dungeon. I’m also changing the way this dungeon works, so instead of just popping into a fight after walking around for a bit, things are going to be a bit more interesting.

I didn’t get to go back and touch up things like the text boxes for older scenes or interior decorations as much as I’d have liked too, but that’s mostly because I spent a lot of time looking for a new anime artist. I’m currently testing out a potential new artist, I think they did a good job of drawing Katie, and now I’m just waiting on them drawing the first sex scene between Katie and the player after the Ogre fight, to see how they do with drawing sex scenes, because that’s something I want to focus on a bit more than just character portraits.
