So, my last post about releasing the game before the end of March was obviously a bit off, partly due to things outside my control, but also due to me not realizing how much still needed to be done. I was hoping to get the update out today, but I encountered a bug in my third test run of the game that I’ve spend hours fixing, so it’s going to be a little bit longer.

Other than that issue, (and hoping there are no other major bugs), I pretty much just need to test and make sure the rendered images are working in-game, and finish up the last of the new content, which is very nearly done, so if things go according to plan, the release will still be out before the end of the month. But since I am going to be charging for the next month, anyone who wasn’t going to continue their pledge into May wouldn’t be able to access links to game versions after the end of the month, so they wouldn’t be able to download bugfix versions that were released, so I’m going to post a link to a folder on Mega for the $5 and up patrons; as long as you save the link to that somewhere you’ll be able to check for any bugfix versions I release at any time, since they will all be in that folder. If you are still in the $5 tier for May, you can just click the link whenever.

Focusing mostly on the port over to RPG Maker, this update will also let you explore further into the slime pit in the first dungeon a little bit. It seemed like the best time to add that in, as everyone will have to start the game over from the beginning anyway. Most of the content is in the scene with the Slime girl you could have found in the slime pit previously, though there is also a new scene you can see when you defeat an Elf in the Deepwoods, and a new hypnosis scene the first time you are caught in a hypnosis trap. The hypno traps are actual traps now, not just things that happen if you decide to wait on the page until it triggers, so having an event to tell the player about them made sense.

After this update, I will continue to port over the stuff I left out to save time, like the Elven village and the Church, but I will ensure at least half my time is spent on new content, so there should be more new content in the next update compared to this one. Depending on how long moving over the rest of the old content takes, I might be able to start working on making the game look better. I also want to find/create sprites to match the clothing options in game, but those things won’t come till later on.

Thanks for your patience (again). I hope you all enjoy the game in its new form, once it’s finally out.
