I frequently come up with new ideas for things to add to the game while trying to go to sleep, which is somewhat annoying because it keeps me up for a while, but is also how I came up with both this idea and the options for the poll I’m posting right now as well. So first off, I wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts to the depravity changes I've been thinking of, to give it more of an in-game impact.

Depravity is described as having negative effects, but right now it mostly just changes some of the players thoughts and actions to be sluttier. It’s described as causing negative effects in game, but I’ve been struggling to think of any substantial drawbacks it could have. Purity items like the one you can get in the second dungeon are an idea, but they only help a pure player catch up to a depraved one, as increasing depravity often increases femininity, making the player stronger. Having some lewd scenes require lower depravity is another idea, but in most cases, you would expect higher depravity to result in more sex, not less. The only exception I could think of would be someone refusing to have sex with you because of how depraved you are, but that would get old quite quickly. The only other negative I could think of for depravity would be to have it make the player weaker, but that would make slutting it up to get stronger a mute point, as high depravity and high femininity cancel each other out.

This brings me to my idea, making depravity reduce the players defense, but not their power. I think this makes sense in the context of a depraved and slutty player, as they would secretly want to lose fights somewhat, as losing battles usually results in your opponents playing with your body. Therefore, a highly depraved player might subconsciously lower their guard and not focus on their own magical defense as much, to give their foe a better chance of besting them. This way, even if a player sluts it up all the time, they will still have higher power from their femininity, but it gives the player an incentive to actually manage depravity. High depravity probably wouldn’t be able to reduce the players defense by more than femininity is raising it, to ensure raising these stats doesn’t end up making you feel weaker than not raising them at all. I would also add in cursed equipment at some point to counteract the stat loss from higher depravity, but those would have their own drawbacks or take the place of other equipment the player could equip.

If I’m giving depravity a real drawback, then I’d need to provide ways for players to actually reduce their depravity, as right now the options are rather limited. I was already adding a npc in the second dungeon that has a purifying event, and lets you donate silver to reduce depravity afterwards, but I will add other ways to manage depravity as well. I am also going to add silver as a reward for defeating the enemies in the second dungeon, and simply have the reward go down the more you defeat the same enemy, until it reaches a low point, but I won’t make them give out no reward like I did before, it will just be low enough to encourage the player to fight other enemies instead of grinding for silver, but if you really want to grind for something like depravity reductions, you can.

Giving depravity a drawback opens up more unique options for having high depravity. For example, I was thinking of a black magic skill set that can only be unlocked by corrupt players, that provides more powerful spells with drawbacks to them. This would probably be a kind of lewd magic, like summoning a tentacle monster to attack your foes, but it draws it’s power by playing with your body at the same time, something like that. This black magic wouldn’t be added right away, but I think it’s an interesting idea.

I'm mostly posting this because I think it's exciting to share new ideas with fans of the game, but if you have any feedback on other things you'd like to see depravity do, or possible issues you see with my current ideas, let me know in the comments.

I see a lot of thought went into these two posts. I have some ideas myself. Perhaps depavity is less that you want to self sabotage but you're overly horny and can't focus. This could be worked into a hit chance debuff in addition to the defense one you're thinking of. You could also have an enemy monster have a chance to proposition you when you encounter them, and if you're depavity is high enough you auto submit and/or add some extra flavor text to the scene. Or even have a per battle horny meter, with certain attacks affecting it more (I think tease/seduce based combat is getting a little old right now, but if it was more of a side meter thing I could see it working). The black magic school is a great idea, but it also implies that there should be a white magic school that would either be locked out or debuffed at certain depavity levels. This could also apply to current or future elemental spells to some degree. Maybe fire gets a buff but ice gets a debuff??? Outside of combat I don't know what you could add in addition to what you have been doing. Maybe add new 'color' options at certain levels like sheer, leather, latex.

Love this alot, I think you should indeed Seperate Depravity and Feminity Being capable of being a pure female making you really powerfull. But enemies trying to get you slutty. But then Beatrice should know that. I feel depravity should come from more extreme sexual things thus where you get raped milked and that kind of things, happend by monsters or enemies etc. While consensual sex that is agreed uppon from both parties reduces depravity? Friends allies. Like beatrice Katy etc. Then you have some form of solid format to build uppon This is just a tip. i dont know what you think of it ofcourse?

I’ve thought about adding hit chance debuffs into the game before, but I’ve always found missing attacks to be a rather frustrating experience in turn-based combat games like this, so I’ve tried to steer away from that sort of thing. Gave me an idea to have something along the lines of, “Your thoughts are clouded by a fantasy of what the Lamia is going to do to you if you lose.” Giving the player a 20% damage debuff for their next attack. Not as harsh as a total miss, and it lets the player play around the debuff, so they don’t end up missing a big empowered magic spell or something. Would still be a low chance to avoid making depravity a nuisance, because some players will definitely want to play a more “slutty” character. Making it harder to reduce the urge to give into lewd attack is a good idea. I could even tie it into the above mechanic and make it so you only get the occasional “clouded thoughts” after being hit with a lewd attack, or it increasing the chance of that happening. White magic is another good idea. Could tie small buffs into it and make its basic spell sort of a combo starter with the other elements. I probably wouldn’t have specific elements be affected by which school you go into, to avoid limiting player choice, but I could do perks that tie into those others skills, like “Each basic spell you cast heals you for 2 hp,” or something along those lines. Colors would be a neat idea, not sure when I’d get to that though. I think outside of combat depravity is in a decent place. Thanks for the ideas and feedback.

I’ve thought about making more dominant sexual actions reduce both depravity and femininity, but at a more favourable ratio than lewd events that increase it. If the first scene with the lizardman gives 2 femininity and 4 depravity, then a scene where you are more in charge could reduce femininity by 2 and depravity by 6, for example. Making lewd scenes between friendlier NPC’s reduce depravity is a good idea, but a lot of the time the stuff you get up to with them can be pretty kinky, which I why I haven’t done that much. Beatrice fingering you, for example, doesn’t raise depravity because it’s done in a very positive manner, but I’m not sure if I could justify giving the player less depravity by having their ass played with, lol. Something to keep in mind for more wholesome scenes, I suppose. Thanks for the ideas.
