Personally, I'd have asked for better subtitles. Many of those lines could've been translated accurately and with less effort. Although some lines in the movie had cultural references, others had English idioms and phrases which the subtitler missed out on. For instance "haath ko aaya muh na laga" is the same as "close, but no cigar". When u guys recommend this movie to Rick, get him a fresh subtitle file and have an Indian review it before Rick watches it. This movie should be done right in every way. Honestly, if it wasn't for the funny background score, and the slapstick comedy, u guys would be completely oblivious to the dialogue. Here's a suggestion if I may, the next time you watch classics like this one it's always a good idea to get some spoiler-free background information on the movie and ask someone in the comments about the cultural references u may come across in the movie. This will help u deal with that barrier.
