Whatever issues Rick has with this movie (except emotional connection) would’ve been resolved if he had watched Jigardhanda part-1. It is not connected but both has same core plot. Happy that Korbin was able to connect. Just a note on the god part alone. In south India, for Every village there are village deities/guardian spirits. They are represented as a saviour gods of whole village. Village deities are celebrated based on peoples own custom rituals. You saw one of the example in the movie a village deities of the Tribal people.
