They do seem to be marketing pretty heavily for something that is releasing on 7th December

White kids in the 50s nah can’t relate. I’ll just go back to relating to Shahrukh khan flying on jet packs, and ranbir kapoor shooting beams out of his hands at a powerful witch. Fuckin idiots

Just watched the making of this song. Zoya mentions that it’s a fantastical world that they’re building. But they made the characters Anglo-Indian because that community fits best in this fantasy world that they’re building. Does make sense. I studied in a convent school and almost all my teachers were Anglo Indians who wore very western clothes. Same for some of my classmates. I remember during Christmas parties they would stand out because their clothes were so western compared to the rest of the kids. I guess today, these differences won’t be as visible. We also have many old movies that are based on this community. The one that comes to mind is Amol Palekar and Tina Munim’s Baaton Baaton mein. Also, Kabhi haan kabhi na! 😄 Link to the making: https://youtu.be/KXZuDv1--w4?si=yLSbyKKyhDIAVIv0

Same here.. studied in a convent school. Most teachers though brown, were either D'Souzas, Pintos, DCosta :)
