so I have some context for you! Minjae and Huijun joined TOP Media in 2015, so they were 12 when they started out. they were actually part of a group of trainees called TOP Bro Jr. (essentially TOP Media's latest pool of potentially debuting trainees at the time), and even back then they were posting all kinds of dance covers and routines which you can see if you scroll wayyy back on MCND's IG or TOP Media's youtube page. so they've been at it for quite some time, and clearly, it all paid off since they were already such scary little rookies even at the age of 15 but yeah TOP Media invested a lot in them very early on, they sent them to LA a lot with the rest of Top Bro Jr., where they took a bunch of dance lessons at places like The Lab and Millenium and choreographers like Phil Wright, and they even participated in World of Dance!! which is absolutely NUTS as you know. it's a little hard to pick them out among the other trainees but they did a few competitions with some really dope concepts. after they were finalized as MCND, they got sent back to LA again, and it's so cool because they linked up with choreographers like Natalie Bebko (I was totally freaking out when I saw this one) and Marui Bangz. I actually might need to request those because they are FIRE so the MCND agenda might be continuing on haha lastly, that IS Yeji you saw haha. Minjae + Huijun were actually in a 3-way battle that round with her and the guy they showed after her, Lim Jimin (who is also an amazing dancer! he debuted later as a soloist and I think he's going to be in a newly debuting group some time soon), which is why she looked so worried in the clip. and with good reason, they ended up not only winning the battle but also getting the highest score from the audience among all the contestants :) ok I'm v tired from writing this all a second time but I hope it's helpful!
