I worked in a 4 diamond hotel in college, so when celebrities came to the city, they often stayed there. Brian McKnight was one of the people I remember vividly because he was such an ass to Black women. He was in the lobby and seemed to enjoy being adored by the younger White women who were going to a game recognized him. He demanded security clear the lobby when an event attended primarily by middle aged Black women ended and a group of them came over to him. After he did that again around dinner, it became clear that he didn’t mind being mobbed as long as it wasn’t by Black women.

Catching up on Eps: Traveling alot. Here's my opinion. What I want to comment on the most is the Brian Mcknight issue. Coming from three people who are considered celebrities. I would think that you would understand this on a different level. All of you had the same point and no one seemed to think that each one of you could end up in the same situation as them. For an example, this past year or two it's been a coming out of celebrity kids saying that their parents either didn't do anything for them financially or have disowned them for "no reason". It's two sides to every story but at the same time. How is he wrong if we don't know the entire story? For an example, Kevin and Melissa could seperate and then their kids could turn on Kevin after he supports them to an age of independency with the expectations of them getting a job. They can come out and say he did this and that and make up stories to "get back" at their father. We have no clue what these kids could have done to their father for him to not want to be apart of their lives. How much disrespect should he tolerate and where does the accountability question comes in on the children and mother? We know that mothers turn kids against their fathers for money or because they've moved on. Where do we get to judge him for something we really know nothing about? Isn't this the same thing that happened to Kel Mitchell? Then everyone found out after that Kel actually tried to reach out to his kids and the mother denied him every time which lead his daughter to coming out with this story to the public? All I'm saying is that...each one of you. My father as well because he's in the industry can be in this position. Where's the other view point of....damn....maybe they really did something for him to want to disconnect from his kids. I've seen celebrity ruin their parents contracts, their jobs, based on a false story. Do I believe he was being petty? Absolutely. He's simply stating that he was able to be a father to his step kids that it seems he couldn't be to his biological children. The question is.....why does he feel that way? Was he blocked from being a father? Why isn't that question? He can do what he wants because we have no clue what happened but we can assume based on other stories. It's easy for us who don't live in that type of situation to say he's wrong but if you step outside of it and look at it for the real situation. It all can't be put on Brian when it's other parties involved that can stopped him from being a father. We don't know if his children disrespected his current wife and step kids. We don't know if these kids have been brainwashed by their mother to hate their father. We're just not sure and all perspectives should come into play. I'm not a fan of his music but I'm all about fairness. All of the blame is on Brian and if I was Brian. I wouldn't really care because explaining what I feel and why I feel it to a world that don't matter and doesn't effect my check. It's a waste as well. But it's old. Celebrity kids, mostly black, are always coming out against the black father and then we later find out it........that wasn't true. So why bash them when we can logically put the pieces together and see where things don't make sense. Brian Mcknight not liking black women seems to be like Eartha Kitt saying Harry Belafonte didn't like Black women. Weird.
