TOTK RANDOMIZER UPDATE NOTES - v0.3.0 (KEY FEATURE UPDATE)

New:

  • KEY FEATURE: The Vows are now randomized within the 5 Temples. You can get any Vow at any Temple as a reward for beating it.

Explanation:

  • In my opinion, this is way better gameplay-wise than just getting the Vows without having to start the respective Main Quest or even getting it for free by the Randomizer Cycle.
  • You can now look forward to beating Temples and gambling on getting your desired Vows! Doing Temples in the TOTK Randomizer is now more engaging.

Additions:

  • Added 30 Armor Pieces (10 Heads, 10 Uppers, 10 Lowers).
  • Added 20 Weapons (10 Swords, 10 Bows).
  • Added 10 Items (10 Monster Parts).
  • Added 10 Teleport Locations (10 Overworld Shrines).
  • Added 2 Key Items (Sage's Will and Zora Armor).

Changes:

  • Made it so that the Welcome message no longer appears in Shrines upon entering them after the midnight reset, unless it's the first time ever the Randomizer is being used in the save file to guarantee that the player gets the Welcome message.
  • Removed the Zora Armor from the common Armor Piece pool and added it to the Key Items pool to increase the chance of getting it earlier for the "Sidon of the Zora" Main Quest.
  • The King's Scales are now guaranteed to be given by Dorephan which prevents a time-based softlock in regards to being able to progress the "Sidon of the Zora" Main Quest until you would eventually get a scale after some time.
  • Autobuild Schematics are no longer randomized and can actually be acquired now. Note that they might get added to a randomized pool later on.
  • The Camera is no longer randomized and can actually be acquired now. Note that it might get added to a randomized pool later on.
  • The Solemn Vow upgrades at the Goddess Statue are no longer randomized and can actually be acquired now.
  • Slightly reduced the chance for random teleports out of nowhere.

Bugfixes:

  • Due to the Vow Temple Randomization change, the bug where the game state of Main Quests and their respective locations is broken/mixed-up, has been fixed.

Optimizations:

  • General code optimization.
