TOTK RANDOMIZER UPDATE NOTES - v0.9.0 (KEY FEATURE UPDATE)

New: 

  • KEY FEATURE: The Randomizer can now grant and take away maximum hearts, stamina and battery charges from the player.

  • The Randomizer now automatically checks your game FPS and sets a fitting FPS mode to ensure optimal gameplay experience. Players no longer have to worry about a halved Randomizer Cycle speed when not playing on 60FPS!

  • A new quest "Randomizer - Status" has been added which displays various information such as the current FPS mode, the total amount of events triggered, units until the next event and the Randomizer Cycle speed!

 Additions: 

  • Added 4 Special Goals (Defeat Colgera, Marbled Gohma, Mucktorok, Queen Gibdo (Depths)).

 Changes: 

  • The Randomizer now has higher priority over other mods to ensure optimal gameplay when the player uses multiple mods that change the same file(s).

  • The Randomizer Cycle now starts after the Opening cutscene when jumping off from the Room of Awakening. A message will appear on screen notifying the player about that.

  • The Randomizer Staff no longer burns (in the inventory UI) when being in an area that is very hot and it no longer casts fire when dropping it, as well as no longer being attracted by thunder strikes.

  • Reduced the volume of the Opening cutscene when jumping off from the Room of Awakening by half because it's simply way too loud by default.

  • Zonai text announcements no longer have a background glow for more visual overview.

  • Randomizer Zonai text announcements are now slightly smaller in font size.

  • Randomizer Zonai text announcements now appear higher up on the screen for more visual overview in the middle of the screen.

  • The "Randomizer - Monsters" and "Randomizer - Prohibitions" quests will no longer show the big first-time notification in the middle of the screen.

  • The "Randomizer - Goal Mode" quest will no longer fly over the screen, pretending to be shown for the first time when checking your goals and not all goals have been completed yet.

  • Reverted the change that Randomizer options are saved across different playthrough save files permanently and restored the functionality that auto-saves save the changed options, instead of having to rely on manual saving/exiting out of the vanilla Options menu.

  • Made it so that 3 instead of 4 Random Enemy Spawn groups can now be active at the same time.

  • Increased the chance to revert a prohibition if 2 of them are active.

 Bugfixes: 

  • Fixed a bug where hundreds of rocks would not drop an item upon lifting them up because they are technically a different object than other rocks.

  • Fixed a bug where Zonai text announcements would overlap on the dialogue for getting meals and in general when obtaining items from Zonai wrecks and broken wagons.

  • Fixed a bug where you couldn't walk full speed after being in a paused state for too long when the TOTK Optimizer was being installed alongside the TOTK Randomizer.

  • Fixed a softlock where the player couldn't press away the dialogue box for getting the Camera when Robbie gave it to you instead of the Randomizer.

 Optimizations: 

  • General code optimization.
