Please keep in mind that Kunoichi "Sword of the Assassin" is an EARLY ACCESS game. And beyond that this is the first ever build of Kunoichi. As with any Early Access software it will have incomplete features and A LOT of bugs. But rest assured that we will do all that is in our power to improve the game with your feedback. Our goal is to allow players to provide their feedback and their suggestions to participate in the development of the game as well as test out some of the core systems in place. Please be sure to view the KNOWN BUGS section of the game for an update on known issues and check out our Patreon post detailing our current progress and interest in the direction of the game.

Kunoichi is an Early Access game with massive changes occurring between posted builds. For this reason we WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENSURE that save files from one build will work with any other build. You are free to copy and paste save files from older versions to test and see if it works. We have also updated the Load/Save UI to make trying your older saves easier to do. With it being so early in development it would not be feasible to provide assurances or support in this regard. We hope you understand and we apologize for the inconvenience.

V1.2a PATCH NOTES LIST!!!

As with all games especially in EARLY ACCESS there will be bugs. Below we have identified some of the more notable bugs for your convenience. The first (3) bugs cause the biggest issues to date listed below as game breaking. We will work in future builds to get these issues resolved.

Patch Size: 37 Issues addressed   

Review the build/patch/hotfix list below for a detailed list of resolved issues in the associated build/patch/hotfix.   

1 - Added an alert icon for NPCs that see the player during stealth missions. This will make it easier for players to avoid capture.

2 - Added a visual indicator when the enemy parries to make it easier for players to know when to dodge.

3 - Body dismemberment added. Now players have the chance to dismember body parts when finishing enemies. Frequency depends on character level. Enemies also have the chance to dismember the player on death. The system can be enable/disabled via the settings panel. It is enabled by default.

4 - Fixed a bug that caused the chest opening sound to play indefinitely after opening a chest.

5 - Added a two-staged detection system for stealth missions making it significantly easier for players to understand and enjoy stealth missions.

6 - Tied the amount of time it takes for stealth mission enemies to engage and attack to the difficulty rating. Lower difficulty gives more time and higher difficulty rating gives less time.

7 - Off a suggestion from a user Sword Trails added for all melee types. Preview can be found in #official-kuno-photos

8 - (3) new emote animations have been added using the F3-F5 keys.

9 - Made a change to start certain stealth missions in the crouch position to make the beginning of the mission easier for players.

10 - Fixed a bug that prevented players from 1-shotting enemies if their weapon damage was high enough.

11 - Added Mouse Sensitivity X and Mouse Sensitivity Y settings.

12 - Added Mouse Invert X and Mouse Invert Y settings.

13 - Fixed a bug that caused hit particles to generate on dead enemies.

14 - Fixed a bug that caused the camera to have the wrong zoom position when entering crafting under certain conditions.

15 - Fixed a bug that broke character customization after accessing the crafting UI.

16 - Added the ability for players to complete stealth missions without aggression from guards by dressing up as (and acting like) a Geisha (So Fun!).

17 - Added "Hide Weapons when Traveling" setting for players to hide weapons automatically before stealth missions if they choose.

18 - Added the "Hide Weapons (Preview Only)" setting to the save data so that players that don't wish to preview their weapons don't have to select it each time they preview.

19 - Made an improvement to Jumping. Now the jump height is dependent on the movement speed making smaller normal jumps possible.

20 - New Kick Type added to melee kicks.

21 - Completed another pass at overall game graphics improvements.

22 - Added notification for all key events that required it during gameplay so that players are aware why a particular function is not available.

23 - Added (4) new Ninjutsu skills for players to use during combat.  

Shuriken Ninjutsu Skill - Pressing the '3' key will execute this skill. Requires (2) Shuriken items to use.

Ice Bomb Ninjutsu Skill - Pressing the '4' key will execute this skill. Requires (1) Ice Bomb item to use.

Damage Buff Ninjutsu Skill -  Pressing the '5' key will execute this skill. Increases Damage for 160 seconds.

Defense Buff Ninjutsu Skill -  Pressing the '6' key will execute this skill. Increases Defense for 160 seconds.  

24 - Fixed a bug that caused the character to limp after crouching.

25 - Significantly decreased the amount of time it takes to pickup bagged loot.

26 - Updated many of the AI mechanics especially for Stealth missions.

27 - Silent Killer bonus increased to 3x.

28 - Fixed a bug that had dialog answers seem disabled when they weren't.

29 - Moved the map logic to a travel post located on each map allowing players to visit this post to travel to different locations.

30 - Made a change to allow players to travel to any location at anytime whether an event is occurring there or not.

31 - Made a change to save players existing location on save.

32 - Metric F-ton of bug fixes.

33 - Made a change to not force players to return to the Azuri Clan Dojo after mission completions.

34 - Configuration settings Camera FOV, Camera Offset X and Camera Offset Y have been added.

35 - Configuration settings Show Enemy HP Bars, Show Damage Numbers have been added.

36 - Fixed a bug that caused duplicate events at locations with day/night versions.

37 - Added difficulty ratings for reach event type to help inform players of the difficulty before attempting a mission event.

Oh I think I saw your question on YouTube. I meant to answer but got distracted. The Patriotika skin is a limited time skin. I believe the last time it was available was for the July 4th holiday. I'm sure it will return though. I'd stay tuned for our announcements when skins are added to the in-game shop.

Using same graphics settings as before the performance seems better on this build. Do have question though since haven't been in the loop. With the community making all the choices. For the sex scenes are you guys planning any forced sex with guys? or being sexually assaulted by guys? during mission? or is it all optional? I don't mind woman or even Futa's taking advantage of the MC. But I don't like guys so if that's planned, I would like to know. Don't like males taking advantage of woman even in a game. Especially when done to a woman who is generally badass. Making her into some submissive weak woman at the same time can really bother me. Unless it's done by another woman :)

The plan is for everything to be optional with all choices being choices willingly made by the player. We wouldn't include a situation where the player would be forced into a sexual situation without the option to participate or not by a male or female. That way the player can set their own level of how much or little of that they want to see. Hope that helps!

No I wouldn't say that. Being that we haven't gone down the path of implementing those systems not sure what results those actions would take. Can't say for sure what the results of those actions will be. All I can say is that the player will always have a choice.

So, this is going to my critiques on the current build (1.2a) 1. Scroll button for consumable ( T & Y) and middle scroll click felt awkward. Middle scroll should be cycle for consumables and either click it or assigned button for use function would feel more natural and not disruptive during combat. There are times accidentally zoom in/out and making combat (especially on small map) very cumbersome due to unable to see enemies in front from zoom in camera by accident. Perhaps, make a toggle for FoV and use scroll wheel so it does not interfere with combat. 2. Dodge button (Alt for default) also felt awkward via keyboard and mouse/trackball control scheme. Personally, hold guard (right click) and press L-shift key with directional would be easier to do dodge while doing with Alt key due to its location felt weird. 3. Sheath/Unsheath animation could be sped up a bit. Again, it felt very slow just to draw a sword out during combat. These are my main current issues with the game thus far. Overall, the game is fun and feel like adult-theme Tenchu (which is fine by me). Double jump and hang glide mechanic felt great. Perhaps in future build, please implement key binding feature, if possible. And TY again for including enable inverted X/Y axis camera function. Keep up the great work and hope for future updates. Cheers. PS - LoM would be a huge upgrade with UE5 instead Unity. One can dream.

I don't watch or like Hentai that stuff isn't for me. Don't mind Ecchi though which has nudity but never any hardcore sex. Like Bikini Warriors, Queens blade, High school DXD and Elfen Lied.

this is my honest critique but I would like to see more lore friendly outfits, weapons, and weapon animations so that this game doesn't turn into just another waifu creator like LoM did don't get me wrong i like to be able to customize my character to suit me i just would like to see this game not revolve around that again. also instead of making kicks a separate melee button to press implement them into the unarmed combat so that players can choose not to use weapons, or if u add fist weapons they dont have to mash two buttons to perform unarmed combat

Also to be clear melee is already implemented into unarm combat. The separate button allows you to melee with a weapon equipped. Unequipping a weapon and entering your attack stance with the 'R' key allows you to melee without weapons. Hope that helps!

For some reason I can't install the game. It shows the opening part and then the webpage opens up for the patreon connect. Then my screen just goes to black and my computer freezes. Then after three minutes my computer restarts.

Still haven't barely played this tried to force myself but those flat nipples kill the whole appeal for me. Sorry will probably drop this soon. Just stupid to pay monthly for a game I never even play. If had a definite answer to when planned to add some protruding nipples would consider continuing my pledge. It being up in the air really doesn't work for me.

Hmm, Braiz asked a valid question and no one has answered, would someone like to answer they're question because I would like to know as well, and yes, I have already gone in to settings under Adult Content and have set it for Anything Goes! My toon has underwear on and it can not be removed, and also to let y'all know yes, I'm a Patron subscriber and I'm playing on the paid version.

The uncensored version is the paid version. You can set the underwear to zero in character customization to remove the underwear. Access to Character customization can be accessed in the inventory panel. Its the big green button on the bottom left. Hope that helps!

I played it for a couple hours. At first I wasn't really sure what to do, just kept doing missions. I finally got 1 outfit but it feels like the grinding would be a bit much to get enough coins to buy another. The combat is fun. The load time is very very bad even with my new computer. I can't imagine how long it would take with an SSD or lower. The forest is the only location on the map that I have fps issues with. Getting average 45fps on my 3060 ti but everywhere else, 60fps. Update - Continued to play for quite a bit and I got the hang of how the game works. Pretty much you do random mission to gain those mission attempts where you can then fight the boss and pray to RNGesus that you get the cosmetics. This isn't bad for an early access. However, This can get repetitive. In fact, I decided to call it quits to wait for more content. Its not worth spending all this time just getting cosmetics. I also hope you guys go all out on this one and just make it pure adult content unlike league of maidens.... which btw is a fantastic game. I get that you have to go easy on the content so it can be available on steam. But there are publishers like Nutaku where you don't need to hold back. I can imagine it now.... the kunoichi destined for great things let her guard down and loses a battle, then ends up being nothing but a plaything as we watch some great animated adult scenes O.o
