Greetings Maiden Nation! This is your Maiden Commander speaking!

Wanted to give you all an update as to where we are in terms of the features requested in our most recent poll. We couldn't be happier with our progress and wanted to share more photos of what we have accomplished!

As always please keep in mind that our League of Maidens team has also made amazing progress on the TROS expansion which we will share news on once the LoM team is back in the office after Christmas break. I worked over the break on Kunoichi which allows me to share my progress. :) Enjoy!!!

CHARACTER CUSTOMIZATION (86+ SLIDERS ADDED!!!)

We've added a total of 86+ sliders that range from allowing players to customize their characters face, body and genitals. For a first pass I think this turned out amazing! There is still a lot of work to be done obviously but the progress so far really helps in terms of creating a unique Kunoichi to play with.

Please keep in mind that breast customization is limited at this time due to a change required to the bones of the current model. We are aware of this and will work to improve this for future builds.

H-SCENES

We've implemented 5 additional positions bringing up the total to 6. We've also added a system to randomly generate female companions at the Sento. This system turned out amazing and I really enjoyed working on it. The number of companions, their look (Skin Tone, Hair, Hair Color, Eye Color, weight/size, location etc... will be randomly generated). Whether they are servicing existing sento customers during the scene will also be randomly generated. You can also see some preview photos of that above.

Currently any adult sex content is limited to NPCs interacting with each other. Would love your feedback in the comments below on how we should implement H-Scenes for the player. I have some REALLY awesome ideas on how this could work and have even done a proof of concept on one idea. Would love your feedback on how the player should interact with the companions or even the Sento patrons.

FUTANARI

Given the amount of requests we've gotten for Futanri content in our games and our inability to add it into League of Maidens as it is not an adult sex game we are happy to say that we have added it to Kunoichi. With Kunoichi being a title we distribute directly it allows us more freedom in terms of being labeled as an adult sex game and the myriad of negatives that come along with it when using third party distributors. With Kunoichi being an adult title it was the perfect opportunity to add it and we couldn't be happier to allow players that were looking for this content to be able to enjoy the wide range of customization options that come along with it. Check out photos for Futunari customization for the player and the ability for it to be applied to the randomly generated NPCs in the Sento above.

***Please keep in mind that this option has been added but there is still some funkiness to the ragdoll physics that we will continue to improve in future builds. Feel free to enable Futunari and walk around with it or take photos etc... but actual combat causes some weirdness that we will get fixed as soon as we can.***

With that said we do however understand that there are players that do not wish to engage with this content. For that reason we have added an option that is disabled by default (accessible at the start menu). If you do not wish to see this content simply leave the setting disabled during gameplay.

WHAT'S NEXT BEFORE THE UPDATE DROPS?

Below you will find a full list of the patch notes which detail what we have completed. Our next step is to work on feedback and bug fixes that were reported for 1.0a. There are a number of things that I would like to address (one of them we've already addressed in the feedback for the traveling in between missions). We will continue to update players on the progress of our bug fixes and implementing gameplay feedback recieved from players.

Once we can get through this we will be sure to update players with a date for the release of Kunoichi 1.1a!!!

1 - Customization Generic Options added (Hair Type, Hair Color, Skin Color, Eye Color)(UI not impleted on very basic UI from inventory panel)

3 - 9 new customizable idle poses have been added.

4 - Added Customizable (internally) nude female NPCs to the Sento.

5 - Added the first adult sex scene to the Sento with completed male/female/ambient audio.

6 - First pass at performance improvements for all scenes has been completed.

7 - Fixed a bug that causes SteamVR to open when the game is launched.

8 - Skin Wetness customization added.

9 - New Underwear Type added.

10 - Changed Keys for switching consumables to the T and Y keys.

11 - Two new Hair Styles have been added (One needs adjustment) 

12 - UI updated for Character Customization. 

13 - A separate slider to easily select realistic skin tones has been added along with the standard RGB sliders for fantasy skin tones.

14 - A separate slider to easily select black/white hair colors has been added along with the standard RGB sliders for fantasy hair colors.

15 - A separate slider to easily select black/white eye colors has been added along with the standard RGB sliders for fantasy eye colors.

16 - [FUTA ADDED] Added Genitals Customization with 29 sliders for customization. FUTA must be enabled from the start menu.

17 - Hide Weapon for character preview in character customization added.

18 - 86 Total sliders have been added for Character Customization.

GENERAL - 13 SLIDERS
FACE - 24 SLIDERS
BODY - 20 SLIDERS
GENITALS - 29 SLIDERS

19 - Traveling scenes (by horse) to the next destination have been removed until we can add more content to those scenes.

20 - Run animations are now also customizable with character customization with the old animation still available to choose.

21 - Added a new default run animation that fits more with the Kunoichi aesthetic. 

22 - 6 Total Sex positions have been added.

23 - Sento areas have been updated to add randomly generated female companions. The number of companions, their look (Skin Tone, Hair, Hair Color, Eye Color, weight/size, location etc... will be randomly generated). Whether they are serving existing Sento customers during the scene will also be randomly generated.

24 - Made a change to reset the players HP at the start of each mission. Any health items are now only required to survive while on a mission.

Heya, I'm new here and am playing catch up with the posts.  Not sure if this will be checked but I wanted to throw in some suggestions about implementing h-scenes with the main character.  The Sento provides alot of interesting opportunities.  The main character could approach the hostess disguised as a geisha to 'offer her services'.  She can lure the client away for some fun time and assassinate him.  However, this would mean that she has a limited time to escape before they find the body (could be a count down timer).  If she does have sex with them, she can assassinate them after or maybe gather information or steal a mission critical item without the client being aware of it.  Another option could be to work for the hostess to get money.  If she take multiple clients at once? Double the money.  A ranking system could be applied where the higher her hostess level, the more money and bonuses she can get.  Another approach to h-scenes in general could be that there's a number of npcs that she can potential romance.  There could be flirtation gestures that she can use to see if someone is initially interested or maybe carry out a number of missions for npcs can lead to the them being a romantic partner. Regarding the actual scenes themselves, I think there should be some level of interactivity buuut, I've already said too much in one post :-s

Hello! I'm sure you already know about the new device called Steam Deck. Would you add support to display the text and menus in it to work with the small screen rez of 1280*800? I would like to play kunoichi and LoM on my steam deck, so far I tried LoM and the text is looking horrible hard to read as well the menus are a no go!

I had this same issue with LoM on my Deck. Turned out it had defaulted to 640x480 resolution (which was itself hard to see as the font displayed so awfully with that setting). When I switched it to 1280x720 (the native 1280x800 is not supported) it was muuuch better)

Yeah but even at 1280*720 the menus were awfully small, they need to enlarge it a bit so we can see them properly.

Thank you for your inquiry and your interest in playing the 1.1a Kunoichi update! :) We do not have an ETA yet on the release of the update. We will post an official release date as soon as we are able to make our way through most of the bug fixes we would like to see in the next build. Bug fixes can be tricky and are harder to predict in terms of time needed to resolve them. Not to worry though, we will be sure to update as soon as possible with an official date. Thank you for your inquiry and your interest in playing LoM and Kunoichi on Steam Deck! Unfortunately though our team size isn't large enough to cover releases on multiple platforms. Our titles are developed for Windows PC only. You are free to give Steam Deck a try (there are several players in our Discord that have already). You can also join there to discuss with them any workarounds that they may have for playing on Steam Deck. As far as Kunoichi goes we unfortunately do not have plans to release the title on Steam. I'm not quite sure if playing on Steam Deck requires the title be distributed by Steam. We apologize for the inconvenience! - maidengaming

so, when is the gameplay going to be fixed and extended? the game is unplayable right now so have no idea why working on more stuff. Got one completable mission to kill one guy who doesn't even fight back. Then that's it the rest of the missions are broken and nowhere else to go on the map. At very least would think a few missions would be complete. I don't even know how it feels to actually fight an enemy cause none even fight back. So have no idea how she blocks, evades, or staggers. People on the polls are wrong. I keep tabs on games and one Game called She Will Punish them on Steam. It had a ridiculous amount of likes on it. Normally most adult games might see few hundred which is even rare. With SWPT I have seen over 10,000 likes. That adult game has never had sex in it. You had it right with maidens same as them. Accept you guys did the online BS, if actually made that single player game. Only relying on income from Patreon I know you guys would have made so much more money. Regardless people will always complain about not having multiplayer. There isn't much competition for single players game like SWPT. Which is why it got so popular. They even missed out on tons of money not even having a Patreon account. When alot were willing to support them just for their normal updates on Steam.

Thank you for writing although I think there maybe some confusion. Enemies that don't fight back aren't your enemies they are your allies. This is explained in the text when accepting the quest. You can also find this information in the quest journal. There are only a limited number of quests but there are 12+ maps in the game with many random events that are generated for all of those maps. The quests are not the primary part of the gameplay which is explained in the Known Issues list we've pointed out before downloading. To progress please be sure to the information provided in the Quick Tips (this UI shows by default). If you have hidden it before reading you can bring it back by pressing the F6 key. To progress you would need to pay attention to the current events that occur then travel to the location of those events using the map. This is explained in the Quick Tips, Quest Text and also on the Map UI. We hope that helps! Also thank you for the rest of the feedback! Amazing news, thank you, everyone! I just have a question concerning the save method, because it has happened to me that I am in the middle of a certain mission. Then I have to log out of the game, and when I come back, there are new missions available, but I cannot go back to the mission I was in =( I have gone through all the auto-save files and it's not there... That said, I do understand this game is in a very early state of development, so no problem for now, I just hope you guys have this issue under your radar =)

Thanks for writing. Glad to see your second experience was better. We are currently in the process of implementing Character Customization along with a host of other things. For now the Body we remain the same. That isn't to say that it will be improved in the future but not at this time. We are currently focusing on the larger feature requests and bug fixes. We've got a lot of amazing updates in store for 1.1a that we can't wait to share so stay tuned!
