Greetings Maiden Nation! This is your Maiden Commander speaking! First off big congrats to God of War Ragnarök for winning Best Action/Adventure Game of the Year! Pretty awesome!!!

Before the release of Kunoichi we would like to address a few things.

First... PLEASE TEMPER YOUR EXPECTATIONS!!! Kunoichi "Sword of the Assassin" is an EARLY ACCESS game that will have A LOT of bugs! But even in it's initial state it is still A LOT of fun to play! See for yourself! Check out 15+ minutes of Kunoichi "Sword of the Assassin" gameplay above. Also know that we are committed to fixing bugs and improving gameplay as we continue to work on the title for you all to play and enjoy! Next, we've had a few questions about Kunoichi that we would like to address.

WHEN YOU SAY ADULT SCENES WHAT DO YOU MEAN... S... E... X!?!?!

In short. Yes. OMG! S... E... X.... :D 

In all seriousness, yes we do plan to add sex scenes to Kunoichi "Sword of the Assassin". This has always been an area of gaming that I have wanted to explore but never felt I had the opportunity with our current offering. We do understand that this might not be your cup of tea and we totally understand this. Feel comforted in knowing that League of Maidens will stay it's current course in that regard. But with Kunoichi starting out as more of a personal project for me to express myself this will 100% be the title in which I get to creatively express myself and all that I would like to incorporate into a video game. And lastly on this topic (not that I would feel the need to justify it's existence but the fact is...) if you are familiar with the history of the Kunoichi you will already know that not including sex in a Kunoichi game completely ignores what was a massive part of their arsenal in terms of their ability to execute on the missions given to them.  ARE YOU GOING TO EVENTUALLY RELEASE THIS GAME ON STEAM???

Short answer, no. We do not have any plans of releasing Kunoichi on Steam. We have in previous announcements explained the purpose of Kunoichi in terms of players and our developers. We would also like to add that we as a company feel more comfortable in releasing Kunoichi on Patreon to help foster it's improvement as a piece of software so that it can grow into the vision that I have for it. Both Steam and Patreon are amazing platforms and we look forward to continuing to work on and add content to League of Maidens which is currently available on Steam.

WILL THIS GAME HAVE THIS FEATURE OR THAT FEATURE?

We know it is difficult but we ask that you please do not come into playing Kunoichi with the same expectations that you have for League of Maidens. It is not the same game. It does not play the same, it does not have the same features, it has FAR less resources assigned to it and it most certainly isn't trying to be League of Maidens. We have for the most part announced all of the features available in the current build with the intention that we will (starting the day after release for Maiden+ Ultra subs) make polls available to vote on with many of the popular suggestions for features that players would like to see in game.

DO I HAVE TO STAY SUBBED TO PLAY KUNOICHI?

As much as we would love your continued support the short answer is no! You do not have to continue your sub to continue playing the build you have downloaded.

WHEN WILL THE KUNOICHI BUILD GO LIVE?

Kunoichi "Sword of the Assassin" will be available to download and play on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9TH 2022.

Players take the role of Takashida, a Kunoichi tasked with avenging her father's death at the hands of the Yokai Clan. It features role-playing, strategy, action and stealth set in feudal Japan. Thank you for your support and your interest in playing Kunoichi! We have not yet announced the time. We usually do not but it depends on a few last minute things. If we haven't posted it already by tomorrow we will generally give a time frame during the day on Discord of when the build will go live. We apologize for the inconvenience. :(

Hey, new subscriber here. This looks really interesting and conceptually sounds great as well, and I was just curious about something. Do you guys have a general idea of how the sex system will work or be added upon moving forward? Is it strictly planned to be triggered only through the scenario selection shown in the footage or will it also be tied through other means? Sorry if this came off as too much but I was genuinely curious. Keep up the good work, I’m excited to see where this project goes.

The great thing about the early access state of the game is it allows us to take suggestions on how the sex system (some call them H scenes) will work. Feel free to give us your take on how you would like to see it implemented.

A neat system would be to walk around enemy dojo’s or general areas and act like a spy, improving relationships (through having sex, etc) making your way towards the top and taking out and killing specific enemies. It would add in a lot to the silent and thought out nature of a kunoichi but that’s just my take on it. But I also don’t want to recommend too much because keeping expectations in check would relieve you guys of stress, and a healthy development cycle is always a good thing. But I appreciate you guys hearing me out.

Way ahead of you. We are already currently working on a relationship system that I believe sounds very familiar to what you are suggesting. The sex system is a totally different piece but will integrate into the relationship system. And not to worry about overwhelming us. We appreciate you taking the time to give us your valuable feedback. :)

I am looking forward to play this game, I have a question, will you add character customization later? like changing hairstyle and bodyproportions, I am already pretty happy with the clothes options you showd in the trailer and that you can mix match them, so these options I asked are not needed because of that but would be really nice to have if possible^^

Thank you for your kind words and your interest in playing Kunoichi! We have a poll that will post tomorrow for subs that have poll voting access to vote on. One of the features listed as an option to work on is character customization. So definitely a possibility of the community votes for it. hey, guys, recurring patron here, I used to be a patron for LoM, but now that I saw this new game coming out, I came back to renew my patron status and I just began playing, it looks very, very promising, this game!! =) On the other hand, I'm sure you are already working on this, but the SAVE system could be improved... I was in the middle of a mission in one of the locations in the map, had to quick save and close the game. Then I came back later and I couldn't find my quick save, the mission I was going to start disappeared and was replaced by two new quests... That's my main confusion right now. Kudoz for both games, they are beautiful! =D

I don't see your reasoning for this game to not be on Steam from the section in the text, but if you've decided, the explanation doesn't really matter to me. I have DLed the game but when running .exe I get a "cannot run" message because "CreateProcess returned 2." Dunno what that means; dunno what to do.
