When an interdimensional being goes for a walk, there's always the chance they'll end up stepping into a realm. In this case, one of her steps happened to fall upon part of a town. As bad as that seems, they still got off pretty lucky--she could have materialized at a much larger size, and wiped out the entire countryside!
