What if you could get more bang for your buck? Proposing Merch for Patreon Rewards! (Patreon)
Content
What if you could get exclusive SnaccPop swag in YOUR bag every month?
Lanyards, membership cards, stickers, posters, shirts, trading cards, pins and buttons, and more.
Exclusive prints of comics? Signed photographs from your favorite Beaus? Or even exclusive dakimakura pillowcases?
SnaccPop Studios spends a significant amount of time each month prioritizing fundraising so we can make sure we NEVER have to ask anyone we hire to skip a payday. And a majority of that money is steadily going out, but the fundraising process does take significant time.
A single team artist, in a month:
- Is responsible for publishing and notifying all patrons of the turn-in dates
- Answering patrons who are confused about the reference turn-ins
- Makes sure all references are accessible
- Makes sure no tier benefactor wants to change their requests or is aware of the fact they haven't claimed their rewards
- Makes not of all reference submissions outside of Patreon
- Learns to draw each individual character
- Completes the finished pieces
"Why not cancel these tiers? You make enough money as is."
We do reach a lot of support! But at any given time we prepare for emergencies. Patrons needing refunds due to life circumstances, an audio editor losing access to safe transportation, a writer who needs groceries, etc.. SnaccPop has folded outwards, and though it is very fortunate we are in this position we try to do our best to provide for everyone and save for emergencies.
Not to mention, it allows us to create more content for you, put away savings for Sunny Day Jack and other long-term productions, and more. [Sunny Day Jack is a slow, slow process. And while the SDJ team is soley there, these funds extend to hiring non-SDJ team members to make sure you're all comfortable until then.]
This also takes the pressure off the SDJ and AD teams. Both projects are what we are most known for, and they're each individually difficult and time-consuming.
SDJ isn't slated to come out for a long time, and AphroDesia is turning a corner into a more sustainable and accessible model. So these smaller projects let you know we're still alive and thinking of you, while we focus on the more intimate detail-work.
"What would you be proposing?"
We'd like to begin a legitimate merchandise/printing catalog.
The goal is to work with the same independent merch production group responsible for the SDJ Kickstarter rewards to consistently ship out merchandise that is limited edition and exclusive every month. This could be a button, a shirt, etc.. But we would be able to quickly produce, manufacture, and ship merchandise from a single list. No more running to make references for you! No more back and forth.
You sign up for a tier, you get a reward with no work on your part.
"What kind of merch?"
The current proposal, open to suggestions, is as mentioned above. Exclusive body pillows, shirts, wearable merch, and more. But additionally, prints and even comic printings are on the table provided we align the proper resources.
