The end of the month is coming up, so we'll be penning these rules here for any interested in having their characters appear as background characters in Sunny Day Jack, as per our up-and-coming promotion!

----------------------

HOW TO ENTER:

1. Be sure to remain or start a $75 membership in the months of SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER ONLY. August and November subscriptions will not count!

2. Collect your character references, your Patreon username/receipt, and a prepared declaration of consent to utilize this character in the game's background.

3. At the start of the month, or as soon as possible, please email whatswrongwithsunnydayjack@gmail.com with your character art. Unfortunately, due to the workload of art duties being on one person, it is either the full body art OR the background art in the game. If you email for background character placement, you will not receive a full-body piece. However, you can still opt-out.

YOU MUST EMAIL YOUR REFERENCES AND ALL THE INFO ABOVE TO BE ADDED. And you MUST ADHERE TO THE RULES. At the end of the month, you'll get to see where your character has been added if the backgrounds are finished! If they're not, then you'll see them ASAP!

You may also only have one character, but our BG artist @Kyotemeru on Twitter may be open for character slots in which case you may then purchase a second slot ONLY from them!

----------------------

THE RULES:

1. You must send your own references. We will not be asking individually, for the sake of the workload. They must be in the email with receipt, consent, and images.

 2. We reserve the right to remove background characters that are not your own, do not have consent, or otherwise cause development trouble. No surprising friends, no characters from established franchises. And as a disclaimer, we reserve the right to remove background characters of uncomfortable or disturbing natures.

3. One per person, but you may additionally purchase a slot from our background artist Kyotemeru when they open limited slots.

4. Characters will be given human alternatives if the character themselves is not human. For the sake of clarity, we ask that all references for non-human characters include specifications for things like, but not limited to, gender presentation, ethnicity, and masc/fem/androgynous qualities. Any references for non-human characters who lack these details will not have work started until they do.

5. As this is a fundraising campaign, we will be producing the visualizations of all of these scenes monthly with public credit to the artists. You must specify in your email the name you would like to be credited by or you will not receive it.

----------------------

We hope these guidelines help anybody interested! And we look forward to including YOUR character in the final product!
