I just want to take a moment and clarify why I only post these thumbnails here on the Patreon wall, and instead deliver the full sized rewards after payment's have been processed, via email. I received an exit survey from a frustrated Patron that thought it was needlessly complicated, so I feel it's important to remind new Patrons why I do this:

Before I did this, I had a lot of "Pledge dodgers" who would sign up, download the pics off of the wall, and then leave, without paying the promised pledge amount. This made it so that it was impossible for me to know how much income I was receiving at any given time, because my pledge amount displayed on my profile was being bloated by fake pledges, making it look like I was earning far more than I actually was. At the end of the month, when pledges are processed and I get paid, I was getting only about 1/3rd to 1/2 of the stated pledge amount. It was needlessly stressful for me, and made it difficult to understand what my income would actually be, at any given time. The extra stress made the entire thing feel less worth while...

Furthermore, since it was so easy to just fake pledge, download the images and leave with out paying, pledge dodgers would take the images and post them elsewhere. While it's impossible to prevent art theft completely, forcing people to actually follow through with payments prevents a majority of art thieves from taking the work and posting it elsewhere.

However, once I started using my current method of posting thumbnails on the wall, and sending full sized images via email at end of the month, the amount of fake pledges I received lowered dramatically. Now, I can expect about $100 worth of pledges each month to be from fake pledgers, instead of the huge amount it was, before.

I hope this explains the reason behind my delivery process to anyone who is new, and didn't know! I am more than willing to answer any questions anyone might have. :)

Thanks for your support!

I really don't see any problem with your delivery methods, you are certainly keeping up your end of the deal and promise, It's only fitting that since you're doing the work, you set the terms of delivery. We appreciate it in fact.

That's very reassuring to hear! I just feel it's important to let new people know what's going on, and why I do things the way I do. I suppose it's not always clear, from the get go. XD

Plenty of other Patreons i back do the same thing. If people are going to keep running off without paying for their meal what else can you do? I have zero problem with this.

RoninDude

Yeah, it seems pretty standard, these days! But still, I felt the need to explain it to the newcomers, just in case anyone else was confused about it. :)

Makes perfect sense to me.

You do you man, anyone who gripes was probably one of those same pledge dodgers whining about you not making it easier to steal from yourself!

I get the current issue, and am happy for you to make a stable income from your work, but I was wondering about past content. I was hoping somehow to get access to your entire catalogue, and was wondering about some kind of monthly minimum threshold to be able to get access to your back catalogue. Maybe three or six months of continuous support and then there would be a reward threshold to get access to older works. Anyway, just wondering…

keep it like that, theres no issue for me you have my pledge and as long as i can afford it you can keep it

Currently, the only way to get past content is to go over to my Gumroad and pick the months you want. https://gumroad.com/ronindude There's no discount for buying multiple, because I want there to be an incentive for continued support through Patreon. That being said, I may collect works into larger packages and sell them that way... I'll have to think about it. Thanks for the input!
