Unfortunately, my mortal body has flashed me the "check engine" light.

Yesterday morning, I collapsed from sudden and severe back pain, while making breakfast. My chest and back muscles went into a hard contraction which cut off my ability to breath, and I just hit the floor. The pain was so bad I couldn't move, so my wife had to drag me out of the kitchen. Despite the pain, I was still able to keep a clear head. I couldn't help but laugh a bit, because of how stupid it was. One minute I am up and making breakfast and loving life, the next, I am on the ground, completely helpless. I am a pretty stubborn dude, and I hate panic, in general. my wife and brother in law wanted to call the ambulance, but I really wanted to avoid that. Call me a stubborn fool, but I didn't want to go to the emergency room. I've been down this road before with plenty of people... It would cost several thousand dollars just for them to tell me my back is bad and give me ibuprofen. Our local medical situation kinda sucks here...

Fortunately, my wife called a friend who knows a lot about back problems, and I was able to get some help. Based on my symptoms, it seems I have a pinched nerve. I must have agitated a damaged disc in my back the other day, when I lifted my shopping cart over the speed bumps in the parking lot. I have done that a million times before... But I felt it happen, and just kinda hoped it wouldn't get worse, but well... Here we are.

Funny thing, just minutes before the injury, I was deep in thought, appreciating being alive, and upright. One minute I feel strong and vital, next minute I am on the ground, completely immobilized and helpless. Just another reason to appreciate life when you are healthy, folks!

Anyways, I just wanted to give a reason for why I might be a bit absent for a few days. I am focusing on recovering and getting back to it!

See you all, soon!

Sounds not funny at all because exactly the same with a pinched nerve happend to me a few days ago. But during my night sleep and not by lifting a shopping cart. Take your time to recover in a healthful way Dude (no pun intended ;) ).

I don't do well with that stuff... But I know a lot of folks who do! I live in Humboldt County California, and we are pretty well known for it. XD

I have scars and burns myself. On average how long does it take to heal?

RoninDude

My back? I really don't know. In the past, it's always taken a long time. But I am going to be able to get back to working on patreon pieces, soon., I think. It was just really painful to sit for a few days.
