I like the story I'm seeing here. . . The rendering on this is killer. She's even got a rim light :D How much more time intensive is it to do it this way as opposed the the more cell shading style you were using?

Thanks Griffin! Oh, it's a lot longer to do this kind of shading over cel shading. I didn't time myself, but it's a notable difference. Essentially, loose cell shading is how I block out the colors and shading. For cel shaded works, I just have to clean the edges, maybe add some light gradients here and there, and done. But in this softer painterly style, I have to take it a few more steps further, doing a lot more blending, and working in random other colors from the environment here and there, refining, etc. It's a lot more work.
