Book of the Month: Smbat Sparapet’s Chronicle (Patreon)

Our Book of the Month for March is Smbat Sparapet’s Chronicle, translated by Robert Bedrosian.

This two-volume book has an Armenian edition and an English translation of a 13th-century source. The Chronicle, which covers the years 1163 to 1272, is a major source for the history of the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia, a period when the Middle East faced attacks from the Crusaders and Mongols.
