For the next three months we are going to be featuring translations of medieval French texts by a publisher out of Australia. The first is 'Once She Had Escaped the Tower': Aucassin and Nicolette and Marie de France's Gugemer, translated by Katharine Margot Toohey, which features two texts, only by Marie de France and the other an anonymous work. It's from Quemar Press, which is run by Katharine - it's a small publisher, but they sent me their books and I really enjoyed how she translated them. I hope you will like them too!
