April 2022 update and a copy of ArabLit Quarterly (Patreon)

Hello everyone - I wanted to start giving monthly updates on what we are doing and what’s new. And I have some big news to share. For the last six years, I have been serving as the editor of Medieval Warfare magazine. It has been a wonderful job and allowed me to create some issues that I am very proud of. But I have now stepped down as the magazine’s editor.

I am doing it because Medievalists.net has been growing so much in recent months and I decided I needed to make it my exclusive effort. It’s a big leap for me, but I want to be able to create more content, try some new things, and give all of you a better experience. It helps knowing I have got 450+ people here on Patreon who are willing to support Medievalists.net.

We are going to try to have some more little goodies for you as well, starting with a free issue from ArabLit Quarterly - https://arablit.org/. I came across this magazine a few months ago and really like their work. They focus on providing translations of Arabic literature including from the Middle Ages, and over the last few weeks we have featured a few of these translations on our website.
