This project was pretty interesting and challenging, with the lioness requiring the superfly GPU render engine and the wolves firefly render engine for CPU so had to split them both into two layers, the lioness into her own layer with the background and water reflection, and the Knot Brothers in a transparent background layer and merge them together.

(Above) Lioness layer, (GPU Render for lioness fur and reflection) the reason for the wolves are to get correct shadows and reflection. They are just a mask and not visible. Notice no fur, this is to speed up the render and since the render engine did not support their fur had to disable. Without the wolves in this layer the shadows and reflection in the water would not account for them.

(Above) Knot Brothers layer (CPU Render Engine). Transparent layer for wolves which will be pasted into the Lioness layer.

(Above) The actual scene, as seen from a side angle, Knot Brothers not shown. Notice the carpet which is the plate to render water reflection, without it there will be no reflection or water appearance, the characters would seem to float above the water, which there is water scene below the plate and also to provide the mask shadows for the wolves.
