[RESOLVED] Download Links Temporarily Down (Patreon)

UPDATE: okay that was easier to deal with than I expected, new download links for June have been sent out since it was almost time for new links anyway. There is not currently any new videos for June since I wasn't planning to change the links today. While the new links should all work fine and provide access to all video files, I cannot prevent another false claim being sent (though if it was who I suspect, then I think they won't have access to the new links to file a claim). If it does happen again, I will have to pursue legal action, which is likely to be very involved.

Someone impersonating me has filed a takedown notice, so the download links were disabled. It seems that resolving this is a time consuming process, so it will take a while before things are available to download again, sorry everyone.

That's really fucked up. I hate people who try to claim others' hard work as their own, especially since many people depend on this stuff to make money and live. I hope your counter claim wins out; you deserve recognition for all your hard work!

That really sucks, hope you're able to get it cleared up soon. Have you considered using Google Drive? At the very least, that'd be a way to continue making content for the time being

Unfortunately, if someone can file a claim on Mega, there is nothing to stop them doing it on Google Drive too. So that will not be a solution if this person persists in these actions.

Based on the timing of this, I have some assumptions as to who was responsible for this, and they likely just did it to cause me trouble and annoyance rather than to actually steal from me.

You know it’s weird, I understand impersonating someone to, you know, gain fame or what not. But what I dont understand is why he decided to do that to delete content he “claims” is his. What is that gonna do for him? He wasted 5 minutes of his life and our time to do this, which amounts to basically nothing on his part.

To be fair, I wasted more like 30mins since I didn't know what to do, though next time it'd be less than 5minutes if it repeats. If it is who I suspect, they just wanted to make me suffer any way they could, because I was forced to block them on patreon for harrassing me even after being warned to stop. I did refund their money, so it's not like I even scammed them, but I guess they were just bitter and wanted to get in one last jab.
