Sakura Space is out soon! + Other updates (Patreon)

Hello everyone,

We have a couple of news to share for several projects and titles. But first off, let's talk about the milestone artbook. As you may know, the project fell through the cracks as several delays and issues happened. The artbook is now being planned and time estimates for its completion, evaluated by a graphic designer. We will give you more news on this in probably a week so that we have figured out more details by then!

Sakura Shrine Girls, wonderfully displayed as today's update image, is also on sale on Steam at 10% off until Friday only! It just got released last week so you can enjoy this new title at a discount!

We'll also talk about Sakura Space. The release date is due for September 2nd on NutakuAND on Steam for 15$+ Patrons only! Only 2 more days left to wait :) You will receive a key to play before release, as the game is still ongoing approval for the Steam store release, which should be around early October. Also for the ones wondering, Sakura Space has a female main character, so the whole game is 100% yuri! I can already hear the cheers as I write this.

More news on Sakura Scifi: The story is written by a professional Japanese writer and there will be voice acting included on release.The game is nearly double in size the usual Sakura title! More CG, more story, more gaming time! The development should be done by the end of next week, after which it will undergo quality control.

As for Sakura Fantasy 2, some Patrons have asked about this and I will simply say that the project is on hold for now. For more information, simply refer to this previous post.

Thanks for the update, and answering a few of the lingering questions. I hope you keep us in the loop a bit more often, to avoid mixed feelings from those like me ,who have supported you for over a year now! I am still sad to see Sakura Fantasy 2 on the back burner.. Like I said in the post you linked us too... It is highly praised by the forums as one of your best VNs and the demand for it is kind of peaked at the moment. Instead of focusing on new IPs I believe you can earn bank from a Fantasy 2 and a Spirit 2 release. Both ended with hints to a sequel that we've not seen the light of day of. Also Sakura Clicker, as was asked in the past by a few others... When will we see an update, I bought all the DLC for that game before becoming a patreon so I really would like that updated.

Possibly a stupid question, but I assume the voice acting for sci-fi will be in Japanese? If so, is there potential for other languages (like english for me) for future projects?

Thank you for providing us with some much desired information. Even though it was late in the month, it is nice to finally see some interaction from you. I am excited to see you keep this up for the coming months. As far as projects go, it is extremely disappointing to hear that no work really got done on the Artbook over the past year or so due to various circumstances, but I am looking forward to seeing some progress + results now that it has been dug up again. Also, thank you for clearing up the release date business. As with many of the issues we have had, that one was more of a communication problem than a project problem. I’m about to get a bit gloomy, but since you are new I feel like this needs to be said. While interacting with your patron base will go a long way to retaining support, I need to mention that we are no strangers to being misled and pushed to the side. Naturally, this has left many of us distrustful and it will take some time to fully restore our trust in you. Thankfully, what you have done today is a massive step towards restoring our faith. If you keep this up, I don’t think we will have much trouble. There is just one big thing that still needs to be cleared up for me. What is the current status of Sakura Clicker? Are there any plans on fixing some of the long outstanding bugs or possibly resuming support? Happy to still be on board. Thank you.

Thanks a lot for the updates! It seems theres a lot of good things on their way. Looking forward to it! EDIT: I know it's kinda boring, but if we don't speak of Sakura Adventure, it'll be forgotten, and that's not what we want... If you guys ever decide to make part 2 and need some kind of support/kickstarter backers/ etc, please do count on me :D

Those requests/suggestions are not falling on deaf ears! Be sure that we are not trying to disappoint our fans and would love to make those games happen. If an answer on 'why not now' is there, there is also efforts being made in the background to see such projects happen one day. While we are unable to announce anything for now, please do not despair. If a definitive 'no' ever exists, I will make sure to let our fans know and not let them hang on it. I believe honesty and clear communication with our fans is important.

Yes, voice acting is in Japanese. It doesn't seem like we have looked at the possibility to do English voice acting so far, but subtitles and in-game text are always available in English, so you get a direct translation; An experience that is similar to watching anime if you will :)

Being new here, I have seen a couple of posts and quite some activity from you. I take it you are an involved and passionate fan! We need those like you, and I will simply say that your presence and engagement is very appreciated, although you probably felt like you have been let down or somewhat ignored so far. I hope to be up to the task in this role and will hopefully help this community flourish and be more active over time. I believe openness and honesty are due and important here, so I want to make sure things start clear and forward in this manner not to mislead our fans. I also appreciate your forwardness as such. So although some answers might finally sound a bit disappointing, the questions will be over for now and we can focus on fulfilling those eventual projects and talking about them when the time will be right and when there is something to say about them. Just know that while some things are not possible right now, they are not forever forgotten. I think the status of Sakura Clicker needs to be addressed in depth in a post soon, so I will not answer everything here and fail to reach most of our Patrons. Instead, I will just say that a Clicker update or Clicker 2 are not in development right now, and the reason will be explained very soon to everyone. I personally have seen the interest so far and will do my best to push such a demand forward when planning new projects and finding the staff that we need to make it happen. (More on this in coming update.)
