Hello everyone~

I hope that you enjoyed Sakura Cupid, it's characters and environment.
Have you tried the option with the animated backgrounds? It let dust particles fly through the room, make the ferris wheel go around etc.
Since it was the first time we tried this, we'd like to hear your opinions on it.

Would you like to see more of these animated backgrounds in upcoming games or did you think that they weren't adding anything to the atmosphere?

Honestly I really like it, I think it's a good direction for future games and it makes it more lively and not in a standstill while the game goes on with the plot.

I think it adds to overall production value. I really liked it. Little details can have a huge impact. I thinks it was worth putting in

I enjoyed the animations and they added another layer of life to the backgrounds so as long as they are not to much work I think they should stay.

Naoko_Halari

I think they are a good addition. Although they were subtle enough that I didn't notice them at first, they added to the general ambiance of the scene when I did. (ie: the ferris wheel at the amusement park) This also is not that common imo as sakura cupid is the 2nd VN I have seen (and own) to utilize animated backgrounds

icedkocha

What about the inclusion of some minor character animations? Like blinking eyes flapping mouths? The only VN I've seen so this is Aoi Shiro, and it really adds a lot of life to the characters

it was very nice touch :)

I really liked it

The only problem I see with this are the CGs, which won't be animated then, so it might 'ruin' the effect then but I see where you want to go with the small animations :)

Matthew Radgowski

Personally, I thought they were a very nice addition. Hope you do more in the future :)

Eclipse Productions

Honestly, I like to think this is a step in the right direction. I really want you guys to be making games that can be considered great entries when it comes to non-japanese oriented visual novels. Not saying this to demean Winged Cloud, but when it comes to quality, Pixelfade has really been giving their games a real bang for their buck. As much as I love their entries in Ace Academy and WIP Crystalline, I want you guys to be able to rival Pixelfade. Competition is what drives business forward.

Not as much as Sakura Cupid(Additional effects of MPEG format), but I remember there was some background animation in Sakura Angels. like sunlight effect, backdrop windmill turns, window reflection animation. Well, if you will add some animation effect, then I'm welcome.

I thought it was really nice to have some animation in the background. Made it feels a lot more lively. And on top of what Kimgaemandoo pointed out, weren't there moving windmills in Sakura Swim Club (roof scene) too?

Richard

Yup - little touches go a long way. Don't do it just for its own sake, though - I think it was about right on this one, but sometimes it's just a distraction. Balance is key.

Nigloo

I reeeeeeeeeally loved it. The one with the big wheel was just.. WOW
