Episode 126, one of the best episodes in HxH and all of anime. I love when animes introduce the concept of malice of humans in fights against non-humans or beings that cannot comprehend the deep fuckery and monstrosity humans are capable of. This is why Netero vs Meruem and, for fans who know this series, Round 4 of ROR are in my top ten anime fights of all time cuz they really show malice playing a factor in their fights.

Since you're asking specifically for manga readers, a lil spoiler: Yes, in the dark continent there are apparently a bunch of beings that are incredibly powerful and pose extinction level threats to humanity. The few that are known have been ranked into danger categories, and while the ants including the king were only ranked as a B level threat there a multiple A level threats on the dark continent. So no, the king is most likely not the most powerful being. However, we are yet to see more powerful beings in actual action. The only dark continent threats we have seen in action by now are AI - the parasite possessing Alluka, which could possibly already be able to easily kill the King. And the immortality disease - which has apparently a 99.9% mortality rate and turns every survivor into mindless immortal cannibals. (I don't know if i would count a disease as a being tho)
