Steph, Mel, a quick reminder about the admiral situation. There is no spoiler in what you're about to read. Before the time-skip : - Sengoku was the Fleet Admiral (devil fruit : human fruit model Buddha) - Sakazuki known by his alias Akainu was an Admiral (devil fruit : lava fruit) - Kuzan known by his alias Aokiji was an Admiral (devil fruit : ice fruit) - Borsalino known by his alias Kizaru was an admiral (devil fruit : light fruit) After the time-skip : - Sengoku and Garp resigned from their position of Fleet Admiral and Vice-Admiral and became marine instructor. - Akainu and Aokiji were the two candidates to become the new Fleet Admiral, so they fought at Punk Hazard to decide the successor. This fight gave birth to an island half lava and half ice, Punk Hazard. - Akainu won the fight and became Fleet Admiral, a position that makes him a hierarchical superior. - Aokiji lost the fight and left the marine, his status is currently unknown but there is rumors linking him to BlackBeard. - Kizaru is the only one who stayed an Admiral after the time-skip. - So there were two empty positions of Admiral to be filled. - One did go to Fujitora who we meet for the first time in Dressrosa. - The last one was filled by Ryokugyu who appears at the end of this episode. So the 3 current Admirals are Kizaru, Fujitora and Ryokugyu.

minor trivia about the admirals akainu = red dog (aka = red, inu = dog) aokiji = blue peasant (ao = blue, kiji = peasant) kizaru = yellow monkey (ki = yellow, zaru = saru = monkey) fujitora = purple/wisteria tiger (fuji = wisteria/purple (more accurate word for purple would be murasaki, but that would make the name too long, so i guess oda went with fuji which could be used for purple as well), tora = tiger) ryokugyu = green bull (ryoku = green (more common word for green is "midori" (for example, deku's name is izuku midoriya because his hair is green) but i'm glad oda went for ryokugyu instead of midorigyu because ryokugyu sounds cooler lol), gyu = bull) their name scheme is color + the chinese zodiac animals before oda revealed fujitora and ryokugyu, fans submitted 2 characters to be the new admirals, but since oda already had fuji and ryo in his mind (i think), he made those 2 characters vice-admirals. they are... chaton tokikake = brown pig (cha = brown, ton = pig) momousagi gion = pink rabbit (momo = pink, usagi = rabbit) if you notice momo means pink, that's why momonosuke has a pink color scheme
