This is what Breaking Bad makes so good, you really go through the motions, from loving to hating characters. It's literally a roller coaster of emotions. And there is still so much to come xD

The reason I was still a fan of walt because his character development is one of the best in history. His ego, pride, and greed for more all stems from his past with his company and his own self worth. As he said in the past seasons he's a over qualified chemistry teacher. One of the smartest man ever with truly so much potential just to end up washing cars and teaching chemistry to kids who couldn't care less while watching all of your peers surpass. As a man it hit him hard to go 50 years of life and feel like a complete loser. So in the beginning he did start selling meth to provide for his family, but once he seen he was good at it and realized he could in his own way makeup for fumbling his company in the past he decided he wants to see it through even if it's a dangerous life. Just think back to season 1 when he first met tuco and stood up to him and when he got in the car he exploded with hyper energy. He loved it. This has always been walt but now he's just fully embraced heisnburg.

Basically it's trauma too. He doesn't wanna feel like he did when he sold out of his company for 5000 dollars. He wants to be the man he always knew he could be but this time in a twisted way but hey thats what happened when you fuck up hard in life and begin to stray further from God

There is a scene I want to Highlight for you. Go check it out, it’s very subtle in the moment but it encapsulates exactly how Walt really feels and since it’s so early in the show, it’s some major foreshadowing. The scene is during S2, EP3 when he is visited by the phycologist after his fake fugue state. The doctor asks why run away, what is it that you feel you are running from? and Walt answers, probably the most honest answer in the entire show. Man, funny how I'm actually get pissed at them reacting to walt. Walt has issues but feels like they really extending the hate too much. Lol like he tried living a humble life. Ppl kept making decisions for him. And that changed him after the cancer. Now he makes his choices even if they r bad. I get yall get salty. But ya both almost overreacting lol
