I find Sara annoying, so I don’t even really care about her and Rudy and she said awful things to him as well. So I find it a bit hypocritical. But thank you guys for the reaction!

I just wanted to mention that Rudy has a lot of emotional baggage (especially from his previous life) which is why he acts the way he does in this life. He was bullied severely which led to him being a shut-in(with no social skills), who lived in a room full of garbage, watching porn all day until he got kicked out. He was basically treated like crap until he died. So if it seems like he is just being weak or like Takemichi there is a much MUCH BIGGER reason for it. It really puts it into perspective.

I'm going to assume you haven't read the novels, so I'll give a bit more info. Book 7 was going to be hard to adapt no matter what they did. It spends a lot of time in Rudeus' head, which isn't very engaging for an anime. They also completely skipped the parts the had Sara's POV. The anime made her seem pretty terrible, but the book showed what Sara was thinking, which made me unable to dislike her. Basically, Sara hates Asuran nobles because they didn't help her village when it was attacked by monsters that killed her parents, and she knows that the Greyrat's are Asuran nobles. That's why she hates him at the beginning. As for later, she thought she had a thing for him, and never knew about his ED or his situation with Eris leaving. In the book, she confronts the sex worker Rudeus was with and the sex worker explains everything to Sara. Sara feels remorse, vowing to set things right if she sees him again. I hope this added a bit of context. It's okay to not like her, I just wanted to explain some things the anime skipped over (and hopefully allow you to see that Sara isn't a one-dimensional character).
