About Zuko’s mom: There’s a couple of comics that take place just after the end of the show, and some of them show us zuko looking for his mom. Just letting u guys know that it won’t be answered in korra if you wanted to read about that in your own time.

I think azula not being at her best is realistic, all her "friends are gone" after a period of time that will take a mental toll on anyone and the fire lord decided to execute her plan without her. Dont forget azula is a firbending prodigy zuko being able to beat her at her best wouldnt feel right to me, if she was at her best it would have been a 2v1 with katara but since she was off it allowed for the agni kai to take place which was a beautiful scene. I can understand how it could be seen as a convenient nerf to azula for plot but you cant deny it does make sense the way azula lost her mind losing all her friends to betrayal and not being able to execute the plan along side her father in her final moments she was completely alone, and coming from being having friends to being alone for the first time is hard to deal with for anyone.

I gotta point out that you both kept bringing up Katara bloodbending, but bloodbending only works during a full moon.

There is a live action ATLA show in the works but many of the fans are apprehensive about it because of the live action ATLA movie that was made by M. Night Shyamalan. You can check it out IF you want to but fair warning, " Once burned twice shy".

Despite this journey being over, there is still a lot more avatar for you both to experience. And based on how much you love this, you'll love a lot of the other stuff in the Avatar Universe. You know about Korra, and that's also a special show, and in my personal opinion, just as good in different ways. I know not everyone agrees. Other than Korra, there are also the comics, that some others have also mentioned. Those will give you a lot of the answers you are looking for in regards to questions you have about characters in this show, as well as show some of the early connections to how they get to Korra (not necessary at all to read before Korra). They are what would be the fourth season. The greater world lore questions that you may have get addressed in Korra. And if you really want to, there are even novels that detail Avatar Kyoshi's era.

Katara can only bloodbend during a full moon. Since it was a full moon a couple of episodes ago in "The Southern Raiders" episode, it's safe to assume that it wasn't a full moon during Sozin's comet.

🔥🔥🔥🔥 loving the long reactions guys, keep up the good work. Can’t wait for y’all to do LoK, y’all gonna love it. LoK is a mixed reaction from the fandom, but she has her own merits and feats. Lore wise LoK takes place 70 years after Avatar Aang so it’s in the same universe.

go rewatch season 2 The Library episode for a major foreshadowing that comes out here. Also to get an idea of Azula character, she's always been daddies little girl all she wanted to do was make her dad happy and be his little princess to where it basically took away her emotions and compassion for other believing she had to rule with an iron fist and not need friends, keep in mind Azula is only 14 years only barely a teenager once her dad gave her the position of Fire Lord she no longer need to follow her fathers footstep rather do things for her but she's never do anything for herself it drove her mad, realizing she doesn't have friends, thinking her mom hated and feared her the final fight she was having an emotional breakdown, while yes she wasn't at her best she was still very ruthless and powerful she's the only firebender with blue fire which burns hotter than normal fire. The fight between her and Zuko is one of the best fights in fictional history you have brother and sister both fighting not just for the throne but literally fighting their parents battle, one fighting for her father the other for his mother it's a very symbolic fight between parents that effects the kids the music is so emotional you can't help but think how wrong it is for siblings to basically be fighting to the death and both still teenagers. This 4 part finally is still by far the greatest finally in cartoon history and the fight between Aang and Ozai is still the best fight in cartoon as well. Avatar the Last Airbender is the greatest chartoon of all time. It's a show that can connect with anyone of all ages and shows the effects of war and so many life lessons. It may not be an anime but it's still better than majority of animes which I can't talk spoilers for a certain anime for non manga readers but there is an anime right now that has a lot of similarities to Avatar The Last Airbender. Anyways I loved watching your reactions to the series I'm looking forward to seeing your reactoin to The Legend of Korra, and yes it does expand more on the Avatar.

A book 4 was planned but was scratched when they did the movie which flopped BUT a new avatar studio has opened with the original creators ! so we def will see alot of Avatar and perhaps the continuation of Zuko finding his mom. But they are working on a movie right now and we don't know what is it about yet so fingers crossed!

And yeah steph the fight choreography and animation is beautiful especially for a show that was out in like 2004? or something like that. I also watch new anime and like the animation can look detailed and clean but the fights will be awful and im like how can you not match this ooolllllddddd cartoon even. Korra has good fight choreography too with much updated art style and everything

Oh and great job to the voice actors for the whole show. A lot of dubbed anime get flack for not having as much emotion as the sub but in avatar these voice actors killed it. Animes should hire these guys for dubbing

He can't beat azula 1 vs 1 though, maybe with a few bit more years of training then he might can. 2 vs 1 yeah, but that would also be unfair. So they gonna nerf azula a bit :) Katara cannot blood blend at all during the fight with azula even if she wanted too. There is a reason why!

Ima be honest, Korra is good as shit, the villians are dope, the main cast is cool, the action is godly, and the content gets a little darker than ATLA. The last season is a bit meh, but it's definitely worth the watch.

Zuko vs Azula fight I personally like a lot more than Aang vs Ozai. Mostly because of the OST, and Zuko finally getting what we wants is great. And yeah Azula wasn't at her best, but throughout the whole show nothing fazed her at all, and she did lose Mai and Tai-Lee, her closest childhood friends so she was feeling lonely and painful, and probably feels rejected by her father since she couldn't go be with him. She is a great character for the story, since she was pressured her entire life to be perfect since she was born great, and Ozai basically expected perfection from her. So in the end she did finally lose everything she had, and that ruined her. It is kinda crazy to think how much Ozai ruined the family. Zuko's mom got banished/ is missing(side note I think there are some avatar comics that continue the story with Zuko's mom), Zuko was banished, and Azula had way too much pressure her entire life to be the perfect princess. Zuko had Iroh, and Iroh was so impactful in his life since he showed him a better life, but unfortunately Azula really had no one she could look up to besides Ozai, and you know how bad he is. If Azula had someone like Iroh, to give her something else to appreciate about life, I do think she wouldn't have turned out as bad as she did.

I can’t believe this amazing journey is finished but am so excited for you guys to watch the LOK. The first time I watched it through I was younger and didn’t appreciate it for what it was. Watching it as an adult I love all the dark themes, humor, action and even mental health that it gets into. All in all LOK will be an amazing ride !

Earlier in the series they explained that when the full moon was out because water benders get stronger with the full moon they can get access to blood bending. Katara learned blood bending during the full moon, and there was a full moon out when she and Zuko confronted the Southern Raiders. I don't think during these comet episodes there was a full moon out, so she wouldn't be able to blood bend, but if there is another reason she can't blood bend besides the full moon that isn't explained currently, then maybe more will be explained in the Legend of Korra.

Aang didnt go far enough back for The Turtle Tutorial. but your guess from that segment was ................ Paku got water the same place they getting fire..... (because originally in the comics only a handful of characters could create fire out of nothing). at least with water there's usually moisture in the air. 🤣😂😂 your right azula isnt in her best form in that fight. shes having a crisis that zuko went thru but instead of having people around her like iroh she literally has no one, and has to fight an agni kai after having two people pull up on her. the only person that showed her support and attention was her father so she was raised to have a complete mental break, she inherited being a prodigy like Roku but raised by the fire lord. this is what makes this not an shonen anime they beat her not at her best

you couldn’t be more wrong the problem people have is with the rest of the cast not being as good or memorable as the og cast. Korra herself is the best part of the show, from a character writing standpoint she has loads more depth and progression then aang... the only problem people have with korra is her sexuality, if you dont like her being gay that's your opinion but it isnt a character flaw to be gay lmfaooo. korra is a far more interesting mc then aang, aang is more of your run of the mill shounen mc. The side cast is where Avatar shines and korra doesn't.

I know I'm late but I glad u think Avatar is one of goats of animated tv. Its the greatest for me..no close. lOk gets a bad wrap but it is great in its own right
