The end credits scene from last week was a cliffhanger that was supposed to leave the viewer wondering if Al was the person Regulus was speaking to earlier - suggesting that Al was a bad guy in league with the Witch’s Cult. I suppose some of your audience were hoping to see your shocked reaction last week and were disappointed they didn’t get to. I think there’s a fundamental difference in expectation between watching a YouTube review versus a reaction. You watch a reaction to see people react such as laugh at the punchline of a joke or scream at a jump scare. Of course reactions aren’t going to be identical and I don’t think most people want them to be. Part of the fun is seeing how people react differently to the same thing. I recently watched a compilation of reactions to the “coffee” joke from the movie Airplane. Whilst a lot of people instantly laughed I think the best reactions were the shocked “what did she just say?” ones where the reactor was shocked then started laughing. Of course now we’ll never know.
