Shunsui really had no faith or hope in ichigo squad zero or his gotei 13 he had no choice let everyone die and let every realm cease to exist or use the strongest being to fight yhwach this is anime only stuff but think about the implications that are occurring for the head of the gotei13 to even think about making a reckless decision like that aizen is someone EVERYONE IN THE VERSE wants ded more than anyone hes enemy #1 of everybody no allies no friends no support no followers no nothing every one who has heard the name aizen in bleach wants him ded and shunsui just lets him out knowing he can use powers still even while sealed and strapped down with god lvl beyond spiritual pressure as we have seen ( reminder he STILL possesses the Hogyoku macguffin wish granting powers Yhwach told us in cour1 of the anime ) the fact aizen can brutally klll everyone in the soul society without moving a muscle but chooses not to is wild to me

Aizen knew of Ukitake being the host of mimihagi it was foreshadowed since the Soul Society, Kubo also confirmed this. "There are two types of battles. Battles to protect lives, and Battles to protect honor" - Kaien to Rukia in Ep 160. Yet another episode that was foreshadowed and called back to. About half of this one being an anime original flashback did complete justice to Ukitake revealing why he was always sick and therefore on the sidelines awaiting his true purpose here now more than ever. Mimihagi is a sentient entity that was once the right hand of the Soul King in Bleach, and it governs stagnation and stillness. It has the ability to halt the progression of anything and can heal ailments by attaching itself to those who request its aid. Orihime not being able to heal the Soul King and Yhwach not being able to see Mimihagi shows that the Soul King is beyond Reason, Concept, Space and Time. Even reversing the events couldn't fix his body and Yhwach couldn't use his Almighty against him. One last thing "We'll see each other soon" - Ukitake to Unohana, remember that line. lykyk Bleach ain't going nowhere.

For one it’s not mid if you think that you’re delusional, we haven’t even gotten to the peak of this arc yet Also you do realize Kubo is adding hella additions and restructuring the story right? What you’ve read isn’t exactly how it will go. The amount of nuance and foreshadowing this arc has is already insane but we’re getting the complete version of what Kubo envisioned
