Does anyone think the main reason they went on break was not to compete with the newsletter coming out you the short stories one for one piece it make logical sense if both are running that show might not do great because of the arc currently but now that they are going on break there’s a bigger possibility of doing good since it can’t compete with one piece and people won’t have a choice to choose

I think the hiatus is for the next movie, probably the summer of 2025. (stampede 2019, film red 2022)

They never needed a hiatus for a movie, almost no anime movies that come from manga series ever needed a break (unless the latest season ended). This is clearly so the anime can be of better quality.

I do think the two main reasons are not catching manga and for the movie. They really need time now. They are struggling when doing film red and wano both at the same time. Film red achieved extremely high records JPY 20 billion on Japan. They need to be more serious on the next movie, and compete with potential competitors Netflix and WIT.

We can't say for certain but it's a fair thought to say that Kuzan may have protected Garp by closing his wound with the ice, plus Garp would be more beneficial to Blackbeard if he's kept alive. I wonder if Luffy will one day pull up to save Garp, the same way he did with Ace? Wouldn't that be a shock to the world? An Emperor of the Sea fighting to save a Marine? Can't wait to see where this goes!

Not gna lie in both this episode and in the manga I initially thought Aokiji pierced him. I still think he pierced him. Because sure he had a wound there but that was from a stab wound. This is a whole icicle through his stomach. I mean Mel could be right. For sure she could. Just that initially I think most people saw it Steph's way.

I can see both Mel & Stef's side at the end about Garp. With One Piece tho, I don't believe anyone is dead until its 100%. Going to miss your One Piece Reactions, I'd enjoy seeing you react to anything being put out of One Piece during their break. Take Care and see yall soon ✌️

That ice spear is probably what seal garp from bleeding. Look like its pierce but its one piece, probably more to it. I still doubt Kuzan is a villian. SPY 100% That fight against garp was to make blackbeard trust him more! Till the end hes a good guy!!! Doesn't matter how it looks like until the story plays out at the end.

Mel I would agree with you on Kuzan saving Garp wound but he was stabbed by a thin sword now he is pierced with a thick ice spike so it's not the same injury as a before he is injuring him more

Final saga oda ain’t plying so I wouldn’t be surprised if garp is dead or is going to die my guess is that they’ll capture him as a trap and he’ll die later on it’ll be a similar to ace situation I believe garp is clearly going to die before one piece ends that episode and chapter pretty much made that clear for me at least

i agree with mel...in addition, at the beginning we saw BB capture kobi in exchange of 800 soldiers because he wanted to have some kind of hostage to do something (which we learned back in ep 1115 i think)...what better hostage than garp he could get?
