what they are trying to show with how the Fredericy is treating the 86 is that no matter how hard most of the people in the Fredericy try to put on this "we are better than them" (Republic) act, no matter the place people have their flaws. Whilst the Frederciy isn't as extreme as the Republic, they also aren't the saints they probably think they are regarding how they are treating the 86.

To clarify Frederica, NOT SPOILER, she was of the royal family of Giad Empire. Her family was overthrown in a civil war. The people that overthrew the royal family established a democratic state that Ernst now represents. Regarding Raiden's comment about her age, you misinterpreted. Frederica meant that her family was responsible for ordering the Legion to attack the other nations. Not that she herself made the call. Raiden meant that she can't really be responsible because she was practically an infant 10 years ago. That's why she didn't refute him.

10/10 reaction. Just reminder, you missed ep 13 post credits scene that showed Frederica leaving with the crew to military academy. Highly recommend quadruple checking every episode because later ones are story critical that will confuse you if missed.

Episode 13: it wasn't that Frederica herself orderd the Legion to attack , her empire did , she basically taking ownership of her empire legacy because she feels responsible as the last Empress of the Giadian throne! The couple walking behind (anju emma) They actually looked like anju and emma), its supposed to represent that " what if " the two of them were able to get together, its was a resemble! 🙂 Frederica power is she can see the present and future from the person she met Episode 14: Euguene = white haired Alba ( reminds shin of Lena), Glasses, (reminds shin of his brother Rei) , shin first friend who was not one of the 86 and he died ....💔 Maybe you did not saw shin emotions but he is so much heart from the inside 500 of his own friends died! And his body was cut in half all over the places from euguene.

The princess asked to go with them because she wanted to help Shin put her "knight" to rest. Also the princess is a kid, but she's not technically on the battlefield, which is why she was probably allowed to go. Plus she's a little more grown up mentally than a typical child. You can tell from the things she says and how she speaks.

I totally get the genjutsu theory, i was thinking the same after episode 12, haha. Also I really love how the anime often gives us little hints about what is going on in a character's mind without really explaining it. Like when Grethe shows them the memorial and says all the 575 names they found are engraved on it, Raiden gives Shin a worried look. Thats because in episode 10 he asked Shin about how many of them had died by now, and Shin answered 576 including his brother, so Raiden knows that Shin is still holding on to his brother's plate and wasnt able to let go and move on yet. Or when Shin gets Nina's picture for Eugene, he reaches out for it and then pulls back, because his hands are covered in blood and he doesnt want to stain it. In the next frame when he is holding her picture, you can see that he wiped his fingers clean. Unfortunately it might be difficult to notice all of it at first, but that makes rewatching it so much more fun.
