Hello everyone,

Just a general update to share what I’m planning for June and get some feedback on the new schedule/story direction.

It’s been a chaotic month so far since I’ve mostly focused on building up a Patreon backlog and adapting the old Tamer tiers to the new stories. I would like to apologize for that, especially to Dragon patrons (since chapter notifications probably appeared a bit erratic on their end), and thank you all for your patience. Things will stabilize next month once I release the stories on RR and align the various updates on them.

On the good news, my productivity is increasing over time; from word count, I’m actually producing more pages in two chapters than I did with three chapters of Apocalypse Tamer, let alone things like the last CE (Commerce Emperor, not Chaotic Evil; I make the mistake too) interlude which is roughly three times my usual chapter length. I think I might be able to do three-big chapter weeks twice a month or so if this trend continues, though no promises.

With the current backlog, I’m considering releasing one of the two current series on RR in June right after Apocalypse Tamer finishes on the platform in two weeks. Due to how RR’s algo is set up, my plan would be to release one story first with three chapters on the week of June 13th before aligning them with the Patreon, and then follow up with the other story the week right after. That should avoid trending issues that plagued Underland, Tamer and other novels before them.

For fans of Stars of Sirius, I haven’t actually found much time to write chapters of them on the side, since I’m focused on B&F first, CE next, and then the Djinn webcomic I mentioned a few times (will probably share the first episode of that one somewhere in June on Patreon). Not sure I’ll be able to release an arc of Stars before some time.

Otherwise, I would like to have your opinion on the update schedule change so far and the new stories. Are you enjoying reading bigger chapters? Or would you prefer that I break them down/split them into more digestible updates? Are you enjoying the current stories or are there some things you would like to see more (ex more palace intrigues in B&F or more hero interludes in CE)? Do you have questions on the Patreon direction or where the stories are going?

I would be happy to read your thoughts and answer your questions in the comments, if you have any.

As always, thank you all for your supports,

Best regards,

Voidy.

I'm loving the new stories! 😍 Commerce Emperor is my favorite but Blood and Fur is good too. I like the longer chapters. Interludes are cool, but not too many of them. I'm dying to know what happens with the raid on the tavern.

VoidHerald

Ah! Well, thursday's bonus chapter actually covers that raid and its shocking consequences XD noted for interludes.

I've been really enjoying the longer chapters and new series!

If the past is any indication, I’ll be surprised and delighted by the stories!

As a long time Pirateba reader, I'm loving the longer chapters. Really been enjoying both CE and and B&F.

VoidHerald

Excellent, was a bit worried about reception to longer chapters but glad it's working out for you :)

To be honest i did prefer the shorter chapters, because of my usual reading habit with "online novels" but since the quality has significantly improved and the chapters are consistent in themself i would say there is no real need to split except if it helps you trick the algorithm in your favor. All in all it is agreat pleasure to see how your stories and writing expands. From the easy and funny wit from Vainqueur to the much more mature B&F. Keep up the good work and dont be afraid to dive into more serious topics and themes, even though you have a real gift for funny and wholesome stories, your "darker" material doesnt have to be shy behind it. Underland for example was a brilliant novel, shame that it seemed to be so underrated!

Thanks, duly noted for the short chapter bit (I'm aware those are a bit better for engagement in general); well I'm always trying new genres so I think I'll eventually come back to comedy, but only after a dark edgy phase XD
