The Dad Crew is joined by special guests Amanda Schuckman, Elyse Willems, and Riley Rose Critchlow to break down the entire three-part murder mystery mini series.

They get into how Vince Vaughn was recording a podcast at the studios they were recording at right before they got there, the reaction to Will's rogue murder in the secret Murderer's Discord Chat, whether or not Freddie's bad accent work was justified, and what a sequel series might look like.

Listen to each episode here -- Episode 1 | Episode 2 | Episode 3
Or the Megacut of all three episodes here -- Megacut.

Attached are the character sketches Anthony and Amanda were talking about, thanks to @nesperus for the prescient work!

I want more. Y’all are strong.

Gavin Lippitt

is this 2 weeks in a row without a normal upload? was there a post about this somewhere?

Anonymous

You clearly didn't listen to the end of the last normal episode (I had to relisten too)

Marc Wasserman

where are the sketches? how are they attached?

MissXis

Definitely my favorite mini series! I've listened to it at least 4 times!

Doot Doot

This series took first place on my fav mini campaigns. Previously AMOD

Tessa Bell

I need the snippet of them singing the outro as my ring tone now

Gmork

Would definitely listen to more.

Caitlyn Russell

This was the best campaign, I loved it so much.

Anonymous

I really hope we get detectivecon

I just want Beth to know I also thought it was an ice axe. I was thinking "damn do they have an iceberg to get ice for their drinks on this blimp that's so weird."

Gmork

How have I never before heard of Johnny Dollar?! This is amazing.

Brandon P

Please more Elise :>

The best Agatha Christie style revenge on Will would be to have him be the detective in another Whodunnit and for him to discover that literally everyone else is a murderer.

I really loved this miniseries, though for a next one I would honestly really want the mystery to be solved at the end. I was also wondering whether you guys are familiar with the Dungeon World ttrpg system? Its got this really interesting mechanic where the players have these hidden relations/unresolved issues between each other characters. Resolving these issues results in a level up. Combat is also narrative driven rather than turn based, similar to what you've already been doing.

InsomniacArrest

Loved this series! Want more so bad

rockL

I will listen the hell out of Oops! All Detectives. Also, I'm on my Poirot mode right now. I do a cycle of Poirot and Marple for comfort shows.

Broden Orr

Even after this, I still have no idea what happened in this series and I wouldn't have it any other way

Anonymous

Ah yeah i think the thing with potatoes is it makes their fur smell suuuper bad. Also: (besides all the love ofcourse) could you guys upload a list of your favorite must read / dnd inspiration books? So lovecraft and christie. And what else? 🧦📖🕯️

Stanley Johnson

Barb and sledge need to be in the next one plz lol 😆

Anonymous

Low key, womanizer Beth might be my favorite Beth so plz keep it up, sugar tits.

B. J. Boyd

You need to let the boys sit one out and have Beth and these guest performers do a micro-season of “Mazes and Mommies. *not a kink podcast”

Ellen H.

May we all go into life with the same confidence as Beth with her “I’ll F*cking solve it this time!” 💕

lilguy31

confused what was the two killers motivation

Anonymous

Like just play werewolves with this cast. No mistakes and I want Amanda to break someone’s heart.

Drednot

"The 3 other pieces of shit""there's four of us""he respects one of us" no no no, 3 of you are pieces of shit, one of you isn't even worth his time.

There's an NPR show called The Big Broadcast that plays old radio dramas, including lots of Johnny Dollar. More proof that Will is a huge NPR nerd

Anonymous

yes yes YES, so pumped to see more like this I adore the concept and the crew is fantastic!

Abs B

Please please please can we get dectectacon! We need Barb and Hannibel House MD

Anonymous

1000% I support bringing Amanda and Riley and Elyse back repeatedly. They are all fantastic and their interactions with the main cast are fantastic. Please please please more of them.

Anonymous

Just concurring that more of the extended crew is definitely what we want!

Fun fact: the og Knives Out parlour scene was filmed in at the Ames Estate in Borderland State Park

Tinyhumanbrain76

I need more of this. Like soon plz

Dj Travioli

I've listened to this series a million times just to hear Amanda say PEEEEPETRATOR. Like her fixing the pronunciation but not that the word is peRpetrator kills me. My partner and I randomly say it almost daily.

Anonymous

Not only am I beyond psyched to see a future installment of this with the same guests, I think it would be a blast to see the HRR crew in this setting as well for a future stretch goal! I owe this show a personal thanks for introducing me specifically to so many incredible comedians and writers, and I can’t wait to see Elyse and Riley and Amanda and old guests and new guests on the Patreon and main feed <33

Yoka

What i dont understand: Is if they stole the rubys and took the identity of the person who had the ticket why did they need the 2nd Identity?

Lilyannifer

The double murderer plot is ridiculous, and there were not nearly enough hints (especially because the group wasn't together enough to notice those two not being in the same room, but that would have been really hard to achieve in a radio show format!) But I loved this because I love Christie, I love Ashley's depth and breadth of context, I love Will's deep and abiding commitment to characters. And also, Cards on the Table is 100% my favorite Agatha Christie novel. Yes, he looks at bridge scores a lot but he's not doing math about it, he's psychoanalyzing the players based on how they keep score and how they talk about the other players. Oh, but don't watch the David Suchet adaptation! They change the murderer and it's a whole mess. I am still mad about it, and it's been like seven years.

Lilyannifer

Yeah, in a novel it would totally work. But with the audio format it was impossible to notice two people not being in the same room, especially because there weren't more than one or two group scenes!

The Dragion

I love the idea of more of this can't wait

Sonya Koloske

I seriously hope for more of this. I've relistened so many times and can't get enough. I really can't wait to have more of this group in the future

Boo

No matter what things go "awry"/unexpected, all of you make whatever the content a joy to listen to❤️ Looking forward to another mystery sleuthed by this group! Never disappointed by the characters thought up by each person here, they're always hilarious and fun🌟

Adam Puckey

I can't wait for the Detectacon Cruise series.

Trevin Sebek

More of this please!

Luna Luna

I loved Amanda being so perfect murder, Beth being so Beth, and Will having this amazing character that was played really well
