I was so confused listening to the second episode with the time travel and them constantly talk about time travel. I Waited so long for this joke to pay off and I was so glad when it finally came around to the punch line. What I was thinking tho is Daryll would go to Neverwinter before the pyramid but during the fight, save Cerns kids then wait for when Cern got out the van after he found out they killed his kids and that's when timetravel Daryll comes out of the woods. Then he tells Cern to fight the dads during 4 Nights and trick the dads into the seaweed telling him about the safety shield and that's how Cern always knew where the dads where

IMO it works even better for new fans because they'll either think the daddies somehow took advantage of a throwaway time travel joke they made in Ep. 2, or they'll realize the episode was altered and they listened to an already changed timeline that not even the daddies really experienced, which is probably an even grander mindfuck :P

One of the few Star Trek book(s) that are good is the Millennium Trilogy and they did a similar solution to the time travel problem, which is you can change the past only if you change nothing current through the present and your alteration changes only something in the future of when you left to go into the past.

Beth is 100% right about the Vin Diesel vs The Rock. I do think the Rock works great in the right casting - Pain & Gain, Fast 5, Moana, Scorpion King all use him pretty well. But I do find him super phony. And Vin Diesel is very earnest and kinda a big nerd (though as a counterpoint you don't get as much of that sense from him recently). I recently watched Pitch Black and he is fantastic in that (the other Riddick movies I can take or leave)

Funny enough, half the reason I started listening in the first place was because I heard a clip of the first episode and thought “hang on, is that a woman?? Maybe I’ll try this” Also, sorry Beth, as someone who grew up in Milwaukee, Ron’s accent doesn’t sound that much like a Wisconsinite. Slightly more Fargo.

I still cry laughing hearing episode two because I was listening before 64 aired, and I had to show it to friends and hear "wth is going on in episode 2" and sOMEHOW not spoil it!!

I listened after the edit of episode 2, and it never felt like it was edited. I loved it the first time hearing, and when this got revealed I loved it even more! So this is my second time listening to season 1, but now with talking dad. It's so cool to hear how they came up with this!
