Join Charger Chainsaw, Dewey Lovemarket, Powder, and soon-to-be fan favorite Pudding as they descend into a brutal permadeath dungeon that is both a light playthrough of Chris McDowall's Electric Bastionland and an early test for a potential new podcast format!

(Quick note - the Beth Mayrathon video is a bit more complex and needs some more time in the oven, so please note that we'll be doing this one shot for November, and will be releasing the Mayrathon MBIC by the end of December for this month)

So stoked for this! I play OSR style rpgs, and have been trying to get my group to dip into this game. (Mainly because I love the art in the book but hey. Cool concept too!)

Justin Govas

Omg please bring this back. This made me cry laughing

Katy Fischer

This is hilarious it wasn’t till the end that I realised Beth was supposed to be speaking in a Geordie accent - I thought it was just a bad Australian 😂 Loved the episode

Chris

I would listen to Beth May play a Geordie fuckboy for 1,000,000 hours

Emily

DEADPOOL YAAAS!

Yesss!!!!

Jordan May

Dungeons and Deaddies. Love this, keep it going please?

Anonymous

i need pudding and powder in a buddy cop movie esque campaign please dear god

Anonymous

That was incredible. I laughed out loud the whole way through!

I would absolutely listen to many more episodes of this! The talking heads bits were hilarious, would love to see that be a regular thing if this ever becomes a full podcast. I think beyond being funny, it offers an easy opportunity to do quick character building, since long term character development isn't really gonna happen

Pudding 🍮😂😂 #buzzing

Very fun MBIC... And potentially a great mini-series... But not a good system for this podcast. Maybe if you went full Critical Role and did 3+ hours a week of comedic improv... but otherwise no.

Hampus Siöland

Beth as Puddin' was some of the funniest stuff I've ever heard. If Ron would ever bite the dust in the main podcast I vote for Puddin' being introduced as the unknowing biological father for someone. #buzzing

GM John

Beth's fockin' Geordie impression's got me buzzin', whye-aye. Better'n Scotty "Turbodick" 'imself!

Well not sure if you're looking for feedback but here it goes. It was slower paced then I remember equivalent episodes being in Henry's arc, but that's probably to do with the weenie hut dungeon. I think the characters not just immediately dying but going into rest state isn't a great fit either as it's not super satisfying (tho getting hit hard and still staying conscious is funny) like close calls are rowdy, but the death should just be a pure death. Anyways the first 2 thirds were slow because of the slow dungeon and learning all the new characters but tbh by the end I was laughing harder than I have laughed In a long time. The last 15 mins really clicked with me and reflected the spirit of the rowdy fast paced dungeon you had talked about earlier. I think there is still some gems here worth pursuing and I hope you guys take another swing at it. Thanks for this :)

But ya definetly wanting more now. I could see how you would get attached to characters that last more than one episode and if a character by pure chance lasted like 5-10 they would just become legends. Very intriguing and unique idea

Loved this. The idea of a TRPG podcast structured like a reality show with talking heads and a rotating cast is so good. It also has the added benefit of avoiding what every online DnD series with seasonal arcs seems to go through when the fandom is so attached to the first cast/story that everything after seems to pale in comparison

Anonymous

Loved it no notes No but seriously I've been so excited for this concept and I love the idea of guests! it was the normal level of rowdy for you degenerate fucks, and I'm hoping for more!

12 minutes in and I need more

For the record, Powder IS my favorite character.

I love Beth, but I hate Pudding.

I honestly pay the $10 just for the extra podcasts and to support yall. Love listening in the backing

As someone born in central England, I can say from personal experience that I literally had no idea what Beth's accent was until she outright said what it was. It's harrowing, thank you.

Mike Mazzanti

THIS PILOT? FOOKIN' MINT. After that shite? I'm BUZZIN'. Puddin' is a propah wingman

Nick Bidaurreta

Beth is amazing! The internal conflict I felt being torn between loving Beth and wanting Pudding to die as soon as possible. Only a creative genius could do that.

Hailey Welker

I was rolling the entire time, this was excellent! I love this! And Puddin’ was such a great character, Beth is so good

johanna.elise

Y'all did such a good job ❤️ I definitely want to hear more. Please keep it up!

Darryl Holiday II

I've been binging story break and I love it. I got into you guys because of D&D, had no idea of your other stuff. But you guys are so enjoyable. Your hey riddle riddle episode, your various one shots. I would listen to a podcast of a system like this from you guys in a heart beat.

Zombie Milhouse

Beth's performance was mint like.

Darryl Holiday II

I think it would be a whole separate podcast and nothing to do with Dungeons & Daddies. But pilots are always rough. I think they realized it needed to looser towards the end.

This episode got me curious about the Electric Bastionland system, and now I just absolutely need to know where Anthony found this starter adventure module.

Liutas Anderson

Just had a couple go workers ask me if everything was ok because I was laughing so hard. Loved every minute of this episode

Agnieszka Górecka

This was, like... So Good. Puddin' 4 life.

As the flashlight joke was made I was smoking and I thought I actually was personally attacked lol

Alexander Cloudsley

This was absolutely incredible and makes me certain that anything you plan to do after or even during dungeons and daddies will be just as good bravissimo!

Brandobie

This was a masterpiece. Can't wait to see future iterations when the dungeon isn't tutorial mode and they're still secretly trying to kill each other. Tip of the hat to bruv Puddin' the persistent

Jenica

Beth might be an actual god. Eleven out of five stars

Anonymous

what song was the intro?

Oren Tuchman

"THE NAME'S PUDDING!" absolutely brilliant, high quality Role Playing

ace of diamonds

I imagine puddin’ as john constantine

Owen

How did I not know about beth playing Jordie! XD

Kendall Crosby

I used to work for a customer call center for T-mobile and had a customer call in furious that he couldn't view his favorite porn site on his new phone...

Lienisaur

I need more pudding/geordie content. That shit is legendary

Ciaran boyd

I keep coming back to this MBIC. It really makes me happy because although the creators think these characters are totally lost and gone they have lived on in the people they made laugh. I know its kinda a dumb reason to like this because it is also just funny as fuck but it means a lot to me right now

Puddin’ is just a cute version of Cuno from Disco Elysium
