I started stanning iKON in 2016 so when I watched this I went with an obvious bias towards Team B. I was disappointed when they lost and I didn’t understand why when they were clearly better. But I know now that the public has a strong sympathy for the underdog kinda team. The thing about their vocals I think we got to take into consideration that Team A is older. They were adults while Team B were teenagers who were still going through puberty. Their voices weren’t developed yet. They probably kept changing throughout this show and that’s why I’m so grateful they did Mix & Match after this. Their voices were more grown and more stable now that they matured. Each one of them found their style of singing and rapping, and they got more comfortable with the stage and look at them now, stage kings🤍

I like this style better. We get to see the subtitles better too.

The more I rewatch WIN, the more I understand how both WIN and Mix & Match were orchestrated so darn well. While Team A had the stronger vocals, Team B had the stronger rap and teamwork. But by pushing Team A as the underdog they had a stronger chance at winning, whereas Team B could afford to wait longer to debut since they were younger and their vocals could improve more over time. The popularity and distinction of both teams allowed both to debut under YGE. I believe both shows were planned from the start but if Team A had lost, I think the lineup/competition of Mix & Match would have been different for them.
