2022-02-28 00:24:54 Ok. So let’s see. My quote of the day will be, “I bet that will be one of the quotes of the day” 🙃. Seriously though, I really enjoy most reactions to I-Land. I wouldn’t sign up for the Patreons if I didn’t already like the reaction “style” per se? of the reactors, but I especially like those that have additional insight I completely lack. Such as dance skill and dance group dynamics. So I definitely appreciate the additional insights you drop here and there. Like in last video the da da das instead of 1 & 2 & 3. Coming from a band background, it’s all 1,2,3,4 to create the da da das in the first place. Or that those with good freestyle skills have honed the craft of anticipating future beats and pattern changes. I do find that stuff interesting. I completely agree the leader doesn’t necessarily equal the best. Also coming from a band background, I was never first chair (best player), but I was the section leader (leader of the clarinet section). So even though I wasn’t the best player I did have the best teaching and personal skills with high enough playing skill to lead the section but not get all the solos. So many real life situations that can apply to. Whats not to like about Taki? I honestly never got the impression you were hard on him. The opposite actually. I think you rather like both Taki and Ni-Ki. This one was tough for Ni-Ki. His 14 year old came out a little and also the language barrier (he had only been in Korea for about a year at this point and knew NO Korean prior to coming here from Japan, so he was still learning the language + some of the others also come from other countries and also don’t speak Korean well). He was frustrated because they weren’t working hard enough like they were pursuing a dream, but I think the age/language combo might have added to the conflict a bit too for why he didn’t just show the moves again as requested. Don’t take this the wrong way. I love the kid. He’s one of my favorites and I can’t wait for you to get to some of their variety stuff (if you choose to do so) so you can see his personality really shine. But he was definitely growing through these episodes. I don’t know if this has been said, or you picked up on, but Ni-Ki, Taki and K are all from Japan. So that’s why they are like 🤞. Ok. I’ve blabbed enough. Thanks again!

Ok my favorite comment was “it was hard to watch but it was AMAZING”! Yes I think Niki is just frustrated because he wants it so badly, coupled with him going through puberty! All the rest of the guys are older than him but he the one teaching them, which added pressure and responsibility! He already dealing with the fact that he failed. I also think Heeseung in this episode kind got intimidated by what happened in last episode. So many of them criticize him for the way he teached, but here is again put in that same position. Therefore he trying a different approach. No one else volunteered to take that position to lead. The fact that all these boys are so young and put into these new and stressful situations, but they still come out with these results is impressive. I’m so glad you are enjoying this.
