Written to be a sister piece to Hop-Skip & the Chewtoys's "Selina and the Flying Rat" and "Rosemary the Changeling", Lydia was a track I went into writing trying to challenge myself. I've been studying a bit of music theory in my spare time and wanted to try my hand at writing a song in the Lydian mode (deliberately, at least XD ). I'm actually floored by how well it turned out, and I believe the piano melody in the second half is some of my best work yet.
