A day later than I promised unfortunately, but better late than ever!

It only took eight months, but Donut Delinquent Chapter 1 is finally complete! Of course, about five of those months were spent on hiatus, so it only took about three to get 20 pages done, which is pretty good!

I think I've mentioned it before, but this was originally supposed to be the halfway point of the first chapter, but I decided that I really wanted to avoid making these big 30-40 page chapters, so I cut it in half to make it a bit more manageable. I think it ends on a pretty good cliffhanger.

Enjoy! I hope you've liked what I've created so far for this story, and look forward to what comes next! Chapter 2 will begin Saturday!

Poor kid. Still, it sets up his meeting with Hana quite nicely, especially if (IF, speculation is all this is since no way of knowing) she’s the only person who actually likes his baking. Hopefully this first impression doesn’t sour his classmates opinion towards him and they can realise he only had good intentions. Honestly, I blame his mother. If she knew Leo wasn’t particularly good at baking despite having a passion for it, would be surprising she didn’t take her son aside to teach him. Actually, a little surprising Lizbeth didn’t say anything to help with prevent this exact situation from occurring, though it can easily be explained as ‘she’s too worried about insulting her crush and didn’t consider the potential ramifications’, which could theoretically also lead into how he and Hana bond. Maybe she becomes the sole person who’s bluntly honest, which might be a breath of fresh air after everyone else seems to tiptoe around his feelings? Apologies, am enjoying this very much.

All that said, we don’t know if his mum has or not. Could be he takes to it like a fly to water despite her best efforts.
