So I've been giving this a lot of thought, and believe me, it was extremely hard to finally admit this...

If I want to actually tell my silly little fat fetish story I've obsessed over for nearly two years now in full, I'm not gonna be able to do it as a comic.

I could go on for paragraphs and paragraphs about why I came to this decision, but to sum it up, It's a combination of my autistic artistic perfectionism, which leads to me constantly wanting to revise my designs and pages, as well as my free-time, which is about to be cut in half with me returning back to work. (this pandemic, as awful as it's been, has been a miracle for my art.)

If you remember some of my previous comments regarding the comic, you'll know this is a pretty big gut-punch realization for me, as I've long considered the comic itself to be a step down from my dream method of telling this story- a multi-path visual novel/dating sim.

So what does this mean? Well, Kabocha Academy is switching formats, turning from "Manga" to "Light Novel." I already write out all of my comic scripts like stories, so this is really just a matter of polishing those to a more presentable standard, and doing art to go along with it- and believe me, there will be a lot of art. I plan on having multiple art pieces to go with each chapter, and I even plan on doing small, one or two page comics in-between chapters occasionally. I'm still debating on what to do first, be it the Hana spotlight chapter I was gonna do next or just go ahead with the revised written version of Chapter 1, I'll of course keep you guys updated.

I really want to get this story told, and at this point I honestly feel like this is my best course of action before I drive myself absolutely insane. I hope you all will continue to enjoy my story in this new format, but if you aren't, I completely understand if you wish to stop supporting me here, as I'm well aware this is a major change from the comic.

Phew, that was a lot. As promised in my last post, here's my new gecko, Gerbert.

I want to thank you all sincerely for your continued support of me, nutcase I may be.
