Hello Friends!

We're all set to record another podcast but would love some more questions from you lovely lot.  This is for the TripleJump Podcast! Remember, as our esteemed financial supporters, we'll be exclusively coming to you for weekly discussion topics, so please read the following guidelines before submitting:

- No controversial or naughty questions please

- This is a video game podcast about video games so please keep the questions video-game-related

- Going forwards, we'd love it if you can base your questions on any video game news that drops in the week. It doesn't just have to be big serious stories though, so ask us about anything you find on the web. While we will still answer non-news questions from time to time, we're hoping that with a different focus we can avoid repetition.

- If there's a particular event or happening in the industry that you'd like us to discuss in detail, feel free! We like to address one 'big question' per week to headline each show, and pepper in smaller questions throughout

- Try to avoid topics we've covered before

- "Questions on a postcard" (don't make your question too long!)

- We typically record on Thursday morning, so try to get your questions in by Wednesday afternoon!

Thanks all! We look forward to reading through your offerings, and we can't overstate how much we appreciate your support on Patreon and elsewhere!

love ya <3

Hello BAP! Recently, it was announced that Volition, the creators of Saints Row, were closing. At the same time, the recent Saints Row reboot was announced as a free PS+ game for August and the Saints Row subreddit is now filled with posts of people playing the game for the first time and saying "you know what, I actually quite like this game" now that they're getting to play it for free. I suppose my question is this; without changing the composition of the game, could the Saints Row reboot have been a success, and could Volition have been saved? Did it suffer from poor marketing? Was the price point in our crumbling economy too high? Were they done dirty by the mediocre reviews? Or was the situation simply unsalvageable and Volition only have themselves to blame? Love to you all xx

Embracer Group is to blame, they hoovered up studios, hoping for investment for the Saudi Public Investment Fund to the tune of £2 Billion, the deal fell through and now they own more than they can ever do anything with.

Hey BAP! Long time viewer & listener, first time Patreonist. This week I’ve seen a number of video game websites excitedly sharing the news that Star Wars Jedi Survivor has finally been ‘fixed’. Remembering Peter’s long-term battles with getting that game to work properly and hearing news of his recent completion of said title, I couldn’t help but think of you in how irritating it is that we’ve all come to accept a game being finished 5 months after release the norm. With the release of Starfield I’ve also been reminded recently of No Man’s Sky, a game that famously launched completely empty and broken but over the course of months and years has grown into a product even bigger and better than the one promised. My question to you is will there ever be a point again when the gaming masses reject these practices? Has the advent of live-service games made the idea of an ‘evolving’ game that is fixed over the course of months acceptable? And with regards to No Man’s Sky, is there a point of going above and beyond with fixes that you can ever bring yourself to forgive a game that is completely broken at launch? Thanks, Jack xx

Hi BP Now that plans are underway for the "Triple Jump Video Game" , What are you most looking forward to in the process of making a game ? For me, as a trophy hunter, it was developing achievements. Not sure what your plans are the day this is recorded but i saw on my LinkedIn Network, there is a Game Dev quiz event in Newcastle that night, I've put the link below https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/dev-pub-quiz-tickets-608423459947?aff=oddtdtcreator Kind regards Cameron J Keywood

At this years PAX West, there was the stealth reveal of a new Rugrats game for NES, with the developer stating their intent to continue making retro games that "should have existed". Between this and the recent reveal of a new release of the Atari 2600, do you think we are on the verge of a retro revival? What would you like to see come of this? https://www.nintendolife.com/features/rugrats-devs-mission-to-make-nes-style-games-that-should-have-existed https://www.theverge.com/2023/8/22/23841336/atari-2600-plus-compatible-with-7800-cartridges

What do you think of Starfield one week after release?

Hi BAP, I hope I’m not too late here. Last night was the #AppleEvent and they released the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro series. At the event there was a bit of a surprise announcement - Resi 4 Remake, Resi Village, Death Stranding and the brand new (console) Assasins Creed Mirage will all be getting releases for the iPhone 15 Pro, thanks to its new CPU and GPU updates. My question is, how much do we think these games will cost? They’re the proper, full console/PC versions of the games with graphics to match, so will they cost console game prices - £50? £60? £70?? Also, would you want to play a full console game on your phone? I personally think phone games are better when they’re designed for phones - candy crush, fruit ninja etc. Maybe I’m out of touch. I’m sure Apple have all the data to back up these choices Thanks, Richard

Hey BAP, What do you guys make of the switch 2 rumors? Some journalists supposedly got a sneak peek at it not long ago behind the scenes, saying we might get it as soon as next year. The hardware itself is rumored to be a lot beefier in terms of specs compared to the current iteration. In your summation, Is the gaming public ready for a Switch 2: Helectric Boogaloo or does the current switch still hold up.
