Hello Patrons!

We're all set to record another podcast but would love some more questions from the listeners. If you've already asked a podcast question that has not yet been answered, you don't need to ask it again, as we have made a note of all our favourite submissions and hope to address them in future episodes.

Remember, as our esteemed financial supporters, we'll be exclusively coming to you for weekly discussion topics, so please read the following guidelines before submitting:

- No controversial or naughty questions please

- This is a video game podcast about video games so please keep the questions video-game-related

- If there's a particular event or happening in the industry that you'd like us to discuss in detail, feel free! We like to address one 'big question' per week to headline each show, and pepper in smaller questions throughout

- Try to avoid topics we've covered before

- "Questions on a postcard" (don't make your question too long!)

- We ask for questions on Tuesday and typically record on Thursday morning, so try to get your questions in before then

- If your question isn't answered, don't despair! We keep a log of all questions and sometimes sub in older ones, so it could be answered in a future episode

Thanks all! We look forward to reading through your offerings, and we can't overstate how much we appreciate your support on Patreon and elsewhere!

- Peter and Ben

Hi bertie and randall, are there any games that you thought were a 10/10 but on later reflection maybe a month or 2, youre opinion changed. I thought red dead 2 was incredible and sank 80hrs in, recently i think of it less fondly. Cheers sandwich hands

Recently, you talked about the games you missed because they weren’t on systems you owned. I have a tendency to grab Sony consoles late in the generation to blitz through the exclusives I care about. For example, right before the PS4 and Xbox One launch, I borrowed a PS3 to play the Uncharted trilogy, Journey, Last of Us, and Shadow of the Colossus. Have you or your friends ever done something like this?

Hi Ben and Peter, In a recent interview, former top Playstation exec Shawn Layden said he thinks current AAA game development is unsustainable.  He points to games taking 5 years to make and game budgets frequently exceeding $100 million, while the price a consumer pays has stayed at $60 for over a decade.  His solution was for there to be a return of the 12-15 hour AAA game that can be made quicker and cheaper.  What are your thoughts?

Hi guys and walrus famo, I am very stoked about about owning a console with no loading times, although it did get me thinking, what about the little tips (often very useful) on loading screens? Or the time to get your tactics straight during a loading screen after dying to a boss etc? Tc all the best boys, your the best

Do we have different standards for stories in games from stories in other mediums? I'm about 12 hours into The Last of Us 2, and while I still thoroughly enjoy it, and I obviously have more plot to reveal, it still just feels like a typical revenge drama. The execution is great, and the production value is top notch, but the tone and story just remind me more of gritty revenge dramas in films. They want us to feel disturbed and horrified when we kill people, but it doesn't make me NEARLY as on-edge and sickened as films like Green Room or Don't Breathe, or novels like American Psycho or Misery. Also the game is really long and padded and it sort of annoys me...

Hello Ben and Peter! Recently, I just finished my fourth play-through of Detroit Become Human and getting the best happy ending in the game still gets me emotional. Has there ever been a game that has done this to you for any particular reason? I really enjoy this game for its character development, story, and all the twists and turns it brings. Hope you boys are doing well! -Steven Scodes

To the increbidle lads (and ladies) at Tripe L. Jump. I'm sure I'm not alone in missing my monthly magazine and demo discs, from the 90s and 2000s. What brilliant demo memories stand out to you? For me, it's the demos of Spyro Year of the Dragon, MGS2, Medal of Honor Frontline, and Hitman 2.

Hello Ben and Peter, quick question, what is the funniest video game you have ever played?

Duncan Wilson

Salutations Peter and Ben. As someone who only watches three channels on Twitch (TripleJump, Vidiots & Bouphe) I'm not really into live streaming that much. But was interested in the news that Microsoft was shutting down Mixer, its own rival service leaving some streamers somewhat adrift... Wonder what your thoughts are on this news and do you think they'll ever be another contender or will twitch reign supreme?

Hey boys, been catching up on the VODs and because of this, my girlfriend and I started playing Stardew Valley. What I want to know is; Peter's videogame uncle not included, has there ever been anyone that influenced you to play a game that you couldn't then put down?

How important to you is a game's challenge? I get really bored if a game is too easy, even if it has a great story, like Dragon Age, but on the casual difficulty. Thoughts?

Hi fellas, In the UK this week the House of Lords said “Loot boxes are equivalent to gambling” and have called for the UK government to “regulate the industry immediately” We have all known this for a while but my question is two fold ... would this actually effect gaming? Is the UK that big of a “player” in the worldwide industry? I personally think this will just create a scenario where Americans will be dominant because they could still pay to win. Love ya bye. Sam
